does it come with software to use it, if not what do i do?

first off, what size moniter are you useing this tv tuner card on?

And i would go with this one http://www.newegg.com/app/ViewProductDesc....-100-103&depa=0

you seem to get the most bang for the buck and the reviews at the bottom can tell you alot.

The 17inch should work fine, the reason i asked was this lady i built a system for wanted one for her 42 moniter and it looked like *bleep*

Is there any particular reason why you'd need a TV tuner card? I mean, watching TV on your computer seems kinda pointless to me, anyway. The only good reason for it is if you had the means to record TV shows or movies onto your harddrive, kinda like TiVo, and burn them onto DVDs. But that's too much of a hassle, and almost not worth it. The monitor wouldn't look much better than a TV screen, anyway. In some cases it looks worse. Digital cable looks bad enough on a TV screen as it is (my parents have a 38" TV, and you can SEE the pixels in the image), so imagine how pixellated it will look on a monitor. Ugh.
