Alright, well I upgraded my msn the other day, and all of the sudden, it wont work! When I downloaded the new one, it just keeps comming up saying somethings wrong with my firewall, which is wrong because theres exceptions in my filewall for msn...I don't get it! Can somebody please help me out with this problem?
you have to create a new exception for that version although it should have been done automatically when you connected for the first time. Of course interesting enough I am having the same problem with yahoo messenger when I installed on a desktop and yes I tried doing what I just mention. So most likely I am missing a step somewhere so if someone can fill in that missing step even I will appreciate it even more .
ok, this happened to me. first off, go to your firewall uner program exceptions (or the equivalent) and look for msnmsgr.exe and and make sure there is an exception for it, if there is, make sure it allows it full access all of the time. if there is an exception and it allows it full access all of the time, go to windows firewall and either disable it or make an exception in it too. if this does not work, it is because your files are corrupt (this happened to me) just delete all your msn messenger files in your Program Files folder (located in My Computer/C:/Program Files) and install it again but from scratch. if that doesnt work, try just using the online version.
note: this is under the assumption you use windows, if not, then just go to the equivalent

I did not know that you can actually detect who are invisible on your buddy list in the yahoo
messenger (for YM users). I've searched the web and there are many ways to know who are signed
in but choose to hide. My querry is "how to know who are invisible in Yahoo Messenger", its pretty

Has anyone tried out the new MSN Messenger Live Beta yet? Right now you can only get in if you are
a certified microsoft tester, or have been invited to try it by a certified tester...a bit like the
Beta version of google mail. I've only seen the program on my friends computer, but it looks
pretty good. It has features like seaching for names in your MSN list, sending offline messages to
people (so they get them when they log on) and also having the ability to have its display changed
eg. you can change the actual colour of your MSN. If anyone knows anything else....

How many of us use msn messenger ? Well i hope quite a lot and for those i have just stumbled upon
a great software The Messenger Resposonser. This auto responds to messages after you status has
become idle. And you can customize the messages depending upon the incomming messages. Which i find

I have both MSN messenger 7.0 which I downloaded and Windows Messenger which was automatically
installed by the Operating System (Windows XP professional). I came to know that many times
Windows messenger will log in automatically as soon as I switch on my system. In fact I made
automatically sign in at MSN messenger which Windows messenger is also seeming to use. Since I

What do you think of the new msn messenger 7? it has changed from the beta of it aswell, it can now
show what song you are playing in windows media player to your contacts, it has a new name system
(like name - comment) type of thing, and plus the winks and nudges are cool but annoying sometimes,
but they can be turned off. As far as the skins and mods go for it, messenger plus, is also
compatable with it, but i havent found any skins updtaed from the 7 beta yet, but expect those too.
Overall, i give this a 10/10 out of all the messengers, plus like i said, it is modda....

one day I was bored and installed this piece of crap windows messenger 5, then I found out the
problem that it conflict with Adobe Acrobat 6.03 (it doesn't with acrobat 6.00). when I
uninstalled it from control panel, each time I open a pdf file, there is a popup window saying I
need to install something. I tried many ways and can't figure out how to solve it, even in
adobe's website they described this problem but did not give a solution. Finally I was able to
complete remove it, it is real simple: download and reinstall windows messenger 4.7, it will compl....
Check out the new msn 7.0 it is full of good features. It has a wake up button and winks and a
cooler layout. But wait till it gets released because the beta has errors. And much less features

Hi everyone I was wondering which IM have you used or are you using now? I have MSN, Yahoo
Messenger, and AIM installed on my computer right now. But I use MSN most of the time since
