You're not going to get a lot, if any, programs with trials...

Mandrake or Redhat would be your best bets... I use Mandrake 10, it comes with loads of apps for most things you need to do. I'm told redhat is also good.

And I have run Mandrake as a dual boot system with XP, so I know it works... you'll need to make sure that ACPI settings in the bios are off for it to work, though...
