Mozilla auto-blocks pop-ups, they wouldn't bother me...
ohh, wait... Yeah, I'd see the pop-ups but I'd buy their stuff to help the site! 
yeah, admin, better not use them on this site as MOST users nowadays
automatically block pop-ups anyway. it would be an annoyance for you to realize less income than you would expect from these. furthermore, you can't control all the ads that come with the service provider you choose for popups. and most popups are disguised to include auto-installers that will ruin trap17's reputation if ever it gets downloaded to other members' computers... some auto-installers are nasty to screw the registry, without the user even knowing it. as a general rule, shy away from popups.
i think most people on earth block the pop ups, so using banners is a lot better
Pop-ups are a nightmare for those who don't have blockers, and they might red-flag your site and never comeback again...so its a no-win situation.
I agree with admin, I think pop up ads really make people hate your site. But pop up ads are not as annoying as those security warning download plugin box. Those are so annoying.
I use Google toolbar, so it blocked pop-ups.

Bleh...Pop-Ups that is the worstest advertesimg system ever.I just hate that.I use the pop up blocker of windows service pack 2.And that blocks it good but when it comes , it makes so much noise.If I get on some pages.I know the site are earning much but I think that banners are much better than pop-ups.With pop-ups the page refresh ever 10 sec.
dont even bother to use the pop-up ads. I for one, I will never allow them on my computer's screen. Imagine, doing something important and some stupid pop-up suddenly pops unto the screen. it can be quite annoying and irritating at the same time.

I don't like POPUPS because it is quite confusing.When i'm seeing a website it suddenly opens a popup and it will change our thoughts.I just click on the popup sometimes.POPunders is even worse.so i think that people don't like popups.Eventhough it gives us more revenue,I will not put them on my site.

Personally, I do not like pop ups, pop unders and so forth. I have a pop up blocker that I use, which is pretty nice. I can disable it when I want, and want to actually see the pop up. For my own site, I have experimented with pop ups to increase revenue. It is like walking a tight rope however. The slight increase in revenue balanced by how many visitors I would potentially scare away. I debate it. I do not know if it is worth it or not. As it stands now, I do not have pop ups on my site. I may, however, in the future include pop ups. I would just experiment to see if there was a decrease in traffic. Sunkist
I have mixed feelings about popups. I think pop unders might be better. At that juncture, they have already left your site.
I use to have a lot of pop ups. It drove away my traffice. I even had somebody link to my site with the cautionary note "lots of annoying pop-ups". So he linked to me, but who woudl follow that link? I suppose if you get a ton of traffic, it is worth it. Anybody have any good result with popunders. That is, ads that only show up after the visitor leaves your site?
