i'm sure that you were using some kind of switch or router. you can reach the internet if you set to manual local ip but you have to do port-forwarding to your computer (port 80). if you set to "automatic", your computer network setting become DHCP and you can reach to internet. for your case, you have to set up again home or small office networking if all your computers are window xp. pls provide more info, if you still cant figure out.

Well, let me know if your using routers or switch. since you'r connected to internet and with other computers on network you can share the connection using analog proxy server, may be your setup right now is DHCP, if your using this setup you must obtain the IP address of each computers, if you want to assign static IP on each PC's you must disable the DHCP and assign the IP analog proxy server need and static ip address but this works fine based on my experience, there are updates for this program so you check this links.. Yahoo Messenger 9.0 Is Out
But With problems (1) Well last night I got a email from my favorite email provider, yahoo, and said yahoo 9.0 is out with
a semi new look. However, thats where my problem begins in which I spent about an hour total with
the yahoo crew trying to figure out why this problem is happening and using different trouble
shooting idea's. It is also to note that this is my first beta software period that I have
actually had a problem, so now my infamous record is tarnish with this little bug. --Issue--

Internet Connections
Can't stay connected (6) I would really appreciate any ideas/sugestions for my current computer problem. I am on dial up,
it has always been very slow, but for the past few weeks I have first off, had a TERRIBLE time
getting a connection, and then when I finally do get one, I frequently get kicked off in a few
minutes. It is makeing me crazy, I can't even keep up with my emails, and make my posts here,
let alone work on my poor neglected web site. So far we have tried.... 2 times the phone company

Internet Connection
(9) i dont really know what the problem is, but like every 3 minutes my internet connects stops, then
goes back up after like 3 secs. i am not sure if a cable might be faulty, my modem or one of my
routers is bad. here is the stuff i use dsl provider-->modem-->dynex router-->2
computers and another router-->my wireless router-->my computer and laptop i am not sure
what the problem is, seeing as just yesterday it was fine. but before that sometimes it would go

Sound Card Driver Problems
(6) I am having trouble when trying to update the driver for my 'creative audigy 2 ZS' sound
card. I downloaded the driver, then went to update it and it says please reboot your computer for
the hardware to start working. It then has a '?' in device manager and basically doesn't
work. When i try to update it again i get a prompt that says, "before applying this update you need
to reboot your computer". It seems to me like the driver installed is corrupt. I can't do
anything with it. I have tried a few things such as different versions of the driver a....

Connection Problems
(5) im not really sure why this is happeneing. Firstly, let me explain how this is all set up I have a
cable modem, which has a cord going into my wireless router, and also into my desktop. now last
night, i was on the desktop, and my dad was on his laptop using the wireless internet. both of us

Strange Computer Issue

Dsl Problems
in relation to processes running (15) so we've just had dsl connected a few days ago. i'm currently enjoying the fast connection
and i have downloaded large files that i couldn't download using dial-up. but i noticed that
whenever i turn on the router, other programs end up running slower. one very obvious observation
was windows media player. i'm a music lover and i turn on wmp everytime i work on this pc. but
whenever i turn on the router so i could connect using dsl, the sound become choppy and plays slow.
at first i thought it was just about the "processes running" and the "cpu usage" sin....
Typos: Do You Have Problems With Them?
I make lts of typos (18) Ok, I'll type this topic really really slow, so i dont make any typos. Yep..If you go through
all my history of posts and topics you will find at least 10 typos in a single post. ANd if you went
to an extenct to look at my website, well you'll be on it for a long time counting how many
typos i have made. I type really fast, and i do mean fast. When i do it in word, i just run the
spell check and BAM its all fixed. But when i do it in other programs which dosent have Spell Check,

Network Printing With Cups
(0) Hi, I request some advice please. I'd like to print from my PC which is running Knoppix 4.0 DVD
HD install on IP 192.168.0.102 to the Canon USB printer on my Mac with CUPS is on 192.168.0.100. How
do I set up CUPS on both ends? On the Mac, I have Windows sharing 139 and printer sharing 631 515
enabled. I know that SMB works because I can use konqueror with smb to get to my Mac files from

Problems After Installing Video Card
(5) A few days ago, I installed a new video card. I went from the original intel chipset to a geforce
6200. After I installed the card, all of my games worked great and everything was going good. But I
am not able to view any videos in windows media player. If I try to run a video, my computer starts

Trouble Hosting Programs Over Internet
Need help, tried everything! (2) Approximately every half an hour anyone connected to me is disconnected. There is no trouble
establishing the connection and it runs smoothly till sudden disconnection. There is no problem with
someone connecting through the local are network. I believe it is something with my router, but I
can't find anything. I use a DI-604 Ethernet Broadband Router, my computer has McAfee security
center and I also have windows XP home edition firewall on. I've tried turning off both McAfee

Slow Internet Browsing With Brand New Computer
(15) I have a brand new computer running Windows XP 512 MB RAM, Compaq Presario 1.4Ghz Celeron. I am
