As far as I know, Imesh is anything but new. And believing the fact that no spyware or adware will be transferred using this software is a little hard to digest. The irony is also displayed. They've used a "bug" for their logo. I've always stayed away from P2P software and it's going to be my long term plan.

I currently use eMuleand/or ShareazaBoth are Free, and most importantly, both are Open-Source which has the profound impact of keeping them spyware/adware free.. But of course, as with all P2P software, you still have to be careful what you download!

Yep, iMesh is a very old p2p program. Also, it contains adware. When I installed iMesh long time ago, I also installed another program. When I found the program, I didn't know that it was installed by iMesh, but I knew it generated popups. When I tried to uninstall it, it said that I had to uninstall all programs that need that adware to run. The list of programs: iMesh

iMesh was one of the first p2ps I used. I think Kaaza was the first. I got quite a few viruses causing me to reformatt my computer and eventually having to by a new computer. ShareAZA, Limewire, and e-Mule are the best ones (from my exprience).

Its true that iMesh has been on the World Wide Web for quite a while. The last time I used iMesh was last year. I never used it after I reformatted my computer. Instead, I tried Shareaza. iMesh wasn't that bad. That time, iMesh was in version 4.5 while iMesh 5 was in the BETA phase. I actually got a free iMesh registration number by participating in their affliate program (refer three friends to download and install iMesh and earn 1 credit point). Therefore, I activated my iMesh 4.5 with the registration code and i get to enjoy the premium version of iMesh. From my experience, there was adware in iMesh in version 4.5. Hey people! this is version 5! Like what they said, no spyware or adware. I have tried it out. They user interface has improved a lot. Its worth a try folks..... If you dont know which P2P program u should use.
