| | I tried it long time ago, but noticed that if your internet is less than 1Mb - it takes really long to load the satellite images. Between anyone heard about the version of google earth that you need to pay for to get but it will let you see all the streets and cities in more details or something like that? |

I like google earth... I can see my house really clearly. The maps arent really that old in my area because my house is only about 2 years old... One more critisism about it is that all the landmarks are flat... The only 3D things are in the US. I live in the UK  and all major landmarks are flat. I suppose as technology advances all the maps will be 3D. But ill live with it, for now... Muhahahaha!

The Register had a great article showing off military bases, missle launch sites, and other goverment and military buildings on Google Earth. Also featured were other notable things such as crop circles and other interesting things users have found. Registrer Competition

you are right it is no doubt a great software...but at my place it does not show those areas which are very green it only shows green colour .... am i the only one facing this problem or there are others are as well. QUOTE(psychiccyberfreak @ Aug 9 2005, 10:58 PM) 
alright, the best thing is that it's free. You can see some people's houses, like in nyc, but you can also see landmarks, big cities, landscapes, and it's all woven together really well. I always like google's stuff You can eaven see forgen countries, and it streams all this info off the net to save hard drive space. I would definately check this out if you are reading this.

As many of you said bad things are: old pictures (maybe except US) no 3D (again except US) and not clear photos (except big cities). I think that they can fix all this very easy but why should they do that? For this tape of service many pay a lot of money and it is very dangerous if you use this for terrorism! So we can enjoy in this and hope they will improve this program as soon as possible!

Google earth is cool,this is the great program for me because I don't have to go to somewhere where I want to know .I just simply sit down on the chair and point to the place that I want to see.that 's it .really easy.That is so great.I hope they can improve more this program.Right now it really cool,but somewhere we can't see,so I hope in the future I can see them.

its very good. I can see another cites off the world, the geografy and dont go there.. i hope the resolution off the maps just increass a litle more

Some WNC mountain areas do not work very well with Google earth; WCU in Cullowhee, NC Clingman's Dome, TN I have not tried MS Earth much as yet, tooooo slow with my DIAL UP in the mountains  Using the Pro version trial right now. Nice to have elevations. Will try MS earth again if we ever get a faster connection.

Area 51 (6) Well a while back there was a bunch of talk on area 51, and how it is a secret location and all
that. They say it contains aliens (I doubt that). They say all types of mumbo jumbo, I think its all
for show. I typed Are 51 in on the google earth and it zoomed in on it. Turns out Area 51 is just a
flight training sort of thing. So don't listen to the alien crap!!....
Google Earth On Sabayon
Google Earth works great in linux (0) I installed Sabayon linux from a dvd I got free with a magazine and guess what? It had Google Earth
preinstalled. And I was thinking that google was not supporting linux (with there being no gtalk or
picasa).Google earth actually worked better in sabayon than in windows I don't know why.....

All of us must be knowing what a "wiki" is. Anyway it's a public repository of knowledge where
users are allowed to change/modify it as per their wish. For a better description you can go to
www.wikipedia.org. Back to wikimapia, it's a real wiki in the sense all the map
details(locations ofcourse) can be changed as per your wish.So you can just put a caption for " my

why isn't it listed as a sub-topic? (7) I just found myself in this area of the forums for the very first time in my stay here with
trap17... at least i think.... but i was supprized that one of the google services subfoums, that i
was sure to be there, wasnt there! Google sketchup. I don't know how popular it is yet,
but it's a free 3d modeling program by google. After modeling you can dump your models into
google earth (thats why i put this topic here), and share your buildings with the world!

I think this it pretty cool. (2) i was shown this by a friend and thought it was cool so i downloaded it, http://earth.google.com/
lets you see the world in a 3d image and zoom to any location in the world, it doesnt update its
like a 2 year old picture but its cool because you can zoom to like your house or school etc. and
just look at it and i think you should try it out. its fun!....

are over 3 years old, i mean i know its the whole world, but if they constantly updated parts it
wouldnt be a big deal, i heard from another forum that they are going to reset the whole world next

The Best Mapping Program
Google earth (0) i find google earth the best mapping program ever because it shows everything in 3d and you can zoom
in and out right down to the last detail its amazing. This post is a good example of how to post

do you know the coordonates (51) I have read somewhere that with the launch of Google Earth small communities have started to appear
