ive heard of it but never thought it would be something like this. tis really amazing. when i checked it i could allmost see my own house .

I tried google earth but it didn't seem to work for me, perhaps it was down... What is the differene between google earth and the satalite view of google maps? I love google maps... So easy...


Does anyone know what they used to code that?

Yes, yes, Google Earth is one of the greatest programs ever created!

My house is pretty clear, even if's in a city that doesn't have hi-res images.

Google Earth is one of the best and creative program in my life!
Its like Google Maps but in Beta Version; it has zoom and zoom out, good when your looking what the building/road looks like
It also gives you a link that shows you where to go from here to there. just like Google Maps

My opinion is that its is very creative and whoever made it is a genius, very handy when solving crimps and all that >:D

I could even see my house, it didnt really look like my house but its near a school that just put up some shades in their playground so it must've been recently updated. It must be my house! It was pretty blurry though... But overall, GREAT JOB!

I've noticed Google seems to regularly update the images they post... the ones of my house are newer now than they were a year or two ago, reflecting changes in my neighborhood (construction, etc). I'm also glad that Google offers such nice support for Linux... no problem running it on my desktop box (Kubuntu).

   preinstalled. And I was thinking that google was not supporting linux (with there being no gtalk or

   All of us must be knowing what a "wiki" is. Anyway it's a public repository of knowledge where

    I just found myself in this area of the forums for the very first time in my stay here with
    trap17... at least i think.... but i was supprized that one of the google services subfoums, that i
    was sure to be there, wasnt there! Google sketchup. I don't know how popular it is yet,
    but it's a free 3d modeling program by google. After modeling you can dump your models into
    google earth (thats why i put this topic here), and share your buildings with the world!
    Unfortunatly google sketchup seems to be mainly designed for google earth. There is no renderin....

    i was shown this by a friend and thought it was cool so i downloaded it, http://earth.google.com/
    lets you see the world in a 3d image and zoom to any location in the world, it doesnt update its
    like a 2 year old picture but its cool because you can zoom to like your house or school etc. and

    of arabic language all over the map stretching all over the place has anyone seen this things? also
