http://w3schools.com is a good site for beginners. And Advanced, alike. There is a fairly good Forum there, too. Of course, the best answers to your questions will likely come from right here at the Trap. Post your questions in the html/css forum of the Computer/programming section for an answer.

I cosign the w3schools for learning HTML. It's where I learned HTML for my sig at the Adult Swim message boards. Also, once you get deep into it, you should know that filters work for IE and blink works in FireFox. You'll see what I mean eventually.

I learned how to use HTML from Tizag. In addition to HTML tutorials and lessons, they instruct PHP, CSS, and a bunch of other useful information on how to learn more about coding. w3 is also a great website, as mentioned above.

I second the idea to visit w3schools, its a great site with a lot of great ways to learn. I used it when i first started out and it taught me a lot about css and html and the like. Now i'm trying to learn php and i'm sure that will come in handy. Apart from that, just do a google search for "learn html" or "html basics" and i'm sure you'll find plenty of results that will teach you all about the magical and mysterious world of html and css.

what do you mean by leaning HTML? do you want to learn coding or design? do you want to be developer or designer. if you are beginner then try to learn Dreamweaver, thats an excellent software for web designing. if you learn Dreamweaver from a proper source it will guide you to understand codes as well. good luck.

If you want to learn disigning i would sugest: Turtorialized. it has many tutorials like: designing (photoshop 3D modelling etc.) als there are programming tutorials like: (C++, html, PHP etc. ). It is worth to visit.

For the absolute beginner I find that this site, although it is originally meant for children, is the place I send people when they ask me about "learning html".

It is very simplistic, but easy to understand for those who know "nothng" about html. Once one has grasped the basics from this site, they can move on to more advanced lesson sites.

Learning how to use the software doesn't help much if you don't know how to code and so the various websites mention above and one of my favorites, www.pixel2life.com, is a good place to learn on coding websites. For me though I did it hte hard way and went through thousands of websites and went through their coding in order to learn, the benefits are there especially with all the free open source templates you can download and use now.

tried FF2, i wasn't a "web-designer" then so i didn't care much about css and htlm stuff, i

Building A Forum Under Another Web Site?
(7) Hello, Im going to set up a simple website to use with my buddies. A main page where I can update
from time to time and a forum are all I need. I know WYSIWYG builders, ftp uploaders and forum
moderating. Im thinking of using phpBB since it's free and seems simple and reliable, right?

What Is The Best Free Html Editor?

menu, works perfectly, but you know how flash has a background when you export it in to a SWF file?

A Twist On Basic Authentification

Has Anybody Tried Ms Expression Web Html Editor
It's much better than Frontpage (3) I was desperate to finish a site I was designing after I lost my hard drive and my software. I
downloaded Expression Web from the Microsoft site for a 3 month free trial, and guess what? It's
surprisingly good! Nothing like that crappy frontpage, it's standards compliant and very
good for writing CSS. Haven't heard anybody mention the program and wondering if anybody else

My New Site Template
Heres a new template of mine done in photoshop (3) This is my new template I'm going to be using for my new site. It took me 3 days to do. I spend
day 1 drawing it up sorry I cannot upload my draft sketch as my scanner is not working. The next 2

A Small Html Problem
How to display foreign characters correctly when designing a site. (4) I was wondering how I could solve a small problem. I was told that some people see accented and
umlauted letters (such as " é " and " ë ") as question marks (" ? ") on my website. I come across
the same thing sometimes when looking at websites which use non-English characters. Funnily enough,
the other day, I looked at a site and the apostrophy ( ' ) was also shown as a question mark.
That is a very common character usually, I would think. I thought it had something to do with the
character encoding settings, and let me also mention I use Mozilla Firefox as my brows....

(4) Here's the deal. I am new at working with web objects in photoshop. I have CS3, and I created a
really nice template. I'm told I have to do something with slicing. So I have the template, and
it has images, buttons, and text on the buttons, and text fields, etc. How can I export this to HTML
and images, and be able to open it up in dreamweaver in an editable web page? I've tried
exporting to "web and devices" and exporting as HTML and Images, but when I open it up in
dreamweaver, it looks right, but it is all images. Thanks....

(1) well, i don' t have a site yet, but about 6 months ago i made a template, with flash buttons and
all, with sound and everything i was so proud so i tryed to put em on there with a special code u
needet or something ,so i did, but i got blank images,, i even tryed uploading it on the site it
didn't work, so i asked around they said u can' t install them on a cpanel, u need ftp, so i
