Me myself, I have never signed up for a free "something" on the internet, reason being I beleive they are scams, adn I was wondering if anyone has signed up for these and have actuaaly got something from it.
When I look at one of those sites, they always want you to sign up for something else and those people want you to sign up for something else, and on and on is goes.
There are some out there that are scams and people are out to get you but there are some that you do get a free ipod or whatever after hard work. I guess there is one in which you have to get 5 friends to sign up and get those 5 friends to get another 5 friends to sign up and so on until eventually you get your ipod and stuff. It is hard but I believe works on some although I haven't tried them. My bro is working on one right now, I will let you know how it turns out.
I'm in the midst of trying one out. This particular one offers a free flat screen TV/monitor. It also offers $250 in paypal. I'm going for the paypal. It does require that you sign up for one of their offers. They have netflix, stamps.com, numerous credit card offers, etc. Since you have to "buy" something, I'm guessing it's legit.
Stamps. com has a free trial, so i tried that one and cancelled before it charged me.
Feel free to sign up: <<removed>>
Notice from BuffaloHELP:
You should've known by now not to post a referral link.
These offers are not scams as they are used as advertising. Most require you to sign up to a 'free' service, such as a movie rental scheme free for x number of months. You refer 10 people, who also sign up to the movie company, getting them loads of customers. They just hope that you get used to using their service for free, and forget to cancel before they hit you with a large monthly charge to stay with them. The BBC ran an experiment (can't find the link) where they signed up for one of these offers and got the people in the office to refer eachother and they did receive the iPod they were after, so they do work. However, now 'scam' versions are appearing, like phishing, where they pretend to be one of these services, but you will never receive anything. Just check them out before you sign up and you should be OK.
i've joined some and obviously got nothing. everything that is offered as a raffle would be a scam. haha. just kidding. obviously, i'm a sucker for freebies and i need and iPOD right now. haha!
I think some of them must be scams but I know some do actually work. The thing is, I'd rather just buy myself an iPod/laptop/whatever, and not be so cheap.
I remember i was sign up on some web page for free microsoft books of their's new technology of procesors,hdds,motherboards...There was 5 books.I just write my name,username,city,age...And after 3 days i got the books I believe that some things are not scams,u just have to find a right one.
I would not know if these are scams or not, in the sense that I've never bothered to launch into a research about free giveaways. For instance, I've seen companies calling for beta testers, and there is a small chance that they might be genuine - but it definitely falls short of my idea of what's a professional advertisement. I mean, every company needs software testers, does not mean you need to go around paying non-trained beta testers $500 for using ^H^H^H^H^H testing the product.
My intution/instinct/whatever-you-want-to-call-it tells me that there are no free lunches in the world. A natural extension to ipods, dvds, etc., tells you that they don't come for free, either. If someone has really gotten one, I would be plesantly surprised to know that - congratulations to you, but I don't think I'll ever try a offer like that, thank you very much.
well of course you forget when you sign up for these bogus sites they are collecting info to send junk to yo and make phone calls as well really who would want ot give away a 72" plasma screen tv away not me i be using it.

I hear a lot of people saying, "AH!!! GO TO FREEIPOD.COM/?=whatever AND GET A FREE
IPOD!! ITS REAL!!" But what are the chances of me believing them? I mean, a
$200+ peice of hardware for free? Is doesnt seem possible. Yet, I've seen many people on
different forums talking about how they got their iPods, and they post pictures and everything.
(take note that when I say iPod, I mean any of the free stuff you can get online). So obviously, it
can be done... But what are the chances of it happening? Apparently, to do it, you need to A) S...
Hey, a few weeks back, I remember somebody posted a link to electrogift, so I decided I would try it
out. To do a spam check, I made a temporary email account, and used that as my email. It's
been over a month, and I haven't even received one email. So I don't have to worry about
spam. I am going for a free PSP, but I need some help. I just need five referalls. You just have
to sign one offer. The one I am signing is a free AOL trial for 30, then you can remove it, and you
don't have to pay a cent. For the AOL offer, it asks for a US zip code, but...
