Just a minor problem,
The image I chose to use in my forum signature doesn't display when I go back to view my posts. It just shows as a blank white box w/ red X in it. I'm 95% certain I used the correct syntax to code it into the signature. Uploaded a image to the root directory of my hosted website at trap17.
Does where the image is hosted make a difference??
Any tips??/ suggestions??

well when i try and go directly to the image i get this: QUOTE The requested URL /userfiles/WindowsFoundErrorItsWindows.gif was not found on this server. so it's your fault

Hi krap, throwing stones?? Stating the obvious?? I know the pic isn't being linked.. the question is WHY?? Well the picture IS on the server in the folder(s) : QUOTE My original question: Does the file need to be in a specific folder (or subfolder) at my website so that it shows up (displays correctly) in my signature. Sheesh, typos are a bummer.(the previous post wasn't supposed to be a link. OK , the syntax I'm using to link to the image in my signature is: mywebsiteNAME.com/public_html/userfiles/WindowsFoundErrorItsWindows.gif it's preceeded by the usual Http:// and the www. entrys of course. Any suggestions anybody??? RGPHNX

Additionally, a 404 Not Found error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request. make sure the case is correct, did you turn on image protection? then you have to set permissions for links... Nils

Hi NilsC, the syntax/case for the link is correct. image protection is disabled in my cpanel. Do I still need to Set permission for links ?? If so How?? RGPHNX

OK, you don't need the public_html in the path. this image is in my 'image' folder in public_html folder CODE http://www.ngc.astahost.com/images/under-construction.jpg Nils

Using Different Font
how to display a font that the user does not have (3) all right i realy did not know where to put this but you guys no how if i where to make my own font
lets say the name is "fake" and i wanted for my website to display all it's i content using the
font "fake". but as you all may know that the user must have that font in their computer but i made

Installing Theme On Smf Forum
Need help doing it! (4) I was wondering, and I am horrible with Cpanels mind you, how to install a new theme. I have an smf
discussion board and I decided to download a theme from the theme place for smf. So it downloads,

Help: Mod Install On Forum
(3) Ok I feel really really stupid (Which I am when it comes to this) but anyway on the SMF forum, there
is a package manager, you click install, and it installs the mods on the forum. However, sometimes
it gives you a link, to download the mod. So yeah I download it, and it appears on my desktop as a
bunch of icons that only make a million tabs appear when opened. I was wondering where in the world
am I supposed to put these mods so that they will work? I have tried some things but they did
nothing... Please help! Why Don't I ever get any replies! ....

Problem With My Website Image

particular image in the website. When viewed off line with either Internet Explorer 7, Opera v9.0.2,
Mozilla Firefox 2.0.0.4 or Netscape Navigator 9.1b, everything works quite fine and there are no
missing images. Come to think of it that after I upload the pages to my website, I was astounded to
find out that some of the images simply refused to display despite uploading every single file and

(11) oke wel, i got my zip file uploadet on the file manager ( ty jlhaslip),now i have to instal it,so i
basicly got onto th einstall page where u put in ur database name and stuff, so i did and it

Why Did Someone Delete My Posts?
I lost 5 credits, without explanation (17) I searched for any alerts and notices but didn't find any.. Last night i posted several posts,
and some of them were interesting too. I lost all of them today including my credits. Not that i
care about credits, i have plenty it's just this post in string theory i care about.. I

FTP uploaded images don't display (8) Hey Guys, PROBLEM: Uploaded website & all images display as blank white box with red X on the
webpages. Tech Info: Am using domain hosting (not subdomain hosting) All my html pages are in
folder "public_html". All my images are present in folder named "userfiles". Both folders are "root"
on the server in my cpanel (ie. not in subfolders). The html code on my webpages "pointing"
(incorrectly???) to the images is: QUESTION: 1) Whats up??? 2) Is this html 3) Does the Xisto
server require that images only be placed in a specific folder OR subfolder in order to display....
