Ok i have heard that there is a new kind of laptop out...
you can fold the screen over the mouse and keyboard with the screen facing up then with the laptop you get i call a "Magic Pen!" that interacts with the laptop screen and the courser moves with it and you can write hand written emails with this clever pen every thing to work to gamming done by this fold back screen pen laptop any ware at any time it folds like a notpad "paper notpad!" 360' turn too i have one of these works with any Operation system ever (not including 3.1 ) just as well other wise it will go crazy!

Not really a breakthrough in recent months. Yes, it's called the tablet PC, and it actually comes in another flavor. What you are referring to is the convertible tablet. These are, as you said, laptops with fold over and touch screens. The other kind is the slate, which (if you think about it) is a computer inside a monitor, and are more expensive (as far as I know).
well in just a little over a year i'll be going to college and i was wondering what would be a

I know laptops generally have pci slots and you generally can't change the graphics card however
do normal graphics pci express cards work in laptops. im actually talking about an GeForce 8600GT

I know that generally you cannot upgrade a laptops graphics card! I am thinking of getting THIS
laptop and it has a good graphics card which according to Nvidia's wesite will be direct x10
compsatible but in the future I may want a new graphics card without a new laptop, is it possible
with this laptop because it has dedicated memory in the graphics card so i am not entirely sure as

I hadn't been able to play the Sims 2, and I figured out it was because my video card wasn't
supported. So I went out and picked up a cheap GeForce FX 5200 ($50) and installed it in my
computer. Well as soon as I turned my computer on, everything was normal. But I noticed the
resolution was huge when it got to my desktop and when I went into Display Properties, it was the
only resolution setting there. So I figured I'd install the video card drivers that came on the
software CD. After that it prompted me to restart my computer, and when I did, everything....
I am a little hesitant... on one hand I am thinking of buying a new laptop, whereas another option

Hi, i am having a problem with my laptop. It is a On a Toshiba Satellite A65-s1067 and it is 2
years old. It was working last night but today when ever i have the laptop pluged in to its charger
the charger, battery is clicking. It even sounds like the clicking is coming from the BIOS when the
AC is plugged in and the Battery is taken out. When i am in windows my battery gets drained even
though the charger is plugged in, and my computer will not start without the battery for some
reason. I also always get messages from windows saying low battery even when it is cha....
Here I come again Another of my clients also have a problem with his Dell Inspiron 6000 laptop. The
problem is with the VGA. When you turn on the laptop it display but immediately after the boot
screen (uses Win XP Pro w/SP2), the display goes off. This type of problem also occurs on my
desktop with my nVIDIA GeForce FX 5200 (128MB) but I always resolve the isue by booting in save mode
and uninstalling the video driver. After that, I will reboot in normall mode and then reinstall the

I have a Dell Inspiron5150 and my video card is an Nvidia Geforce FX Go5200. A problem that just
came up recently has left me quite puzzled. My laptop monitor flickers to a black screen right at

drive is not first in the boot order. So I need to open the BIOS Setup program to change it. I tried
pressing about half a dozen key combos, and couldn't get it to run. I called Dell, and they gave

Hi, I am tring to install a 100GB External Hard Disk Drive onto my laptop. I plug the drive in
through USB and it makes the hardware connect noise then about 5 seconds later it makes the hardware
discconect noise. I dont know what to do the software it came with was ment for internal
installation. But, i used an External Conversion kit and made it an external drive. I have already
tried going into the bios and it listed nothing about the drive. My computer dosent even know that
it is there. I need some help on this because if this dosent work then i payed $160....

My Dad's company has some old laptops that they are giving the salesmen. These things are pretty
old. I think they have 64mb ram and 300-400mhz processors with 5gb hardrives. Because of the low
ram, they loaded Windows 98 on them. I suggested Windows 2000 Pro, but whatever. Two of them are
having problems though. They don't want to spend money for new ones, and certain software is
registered to those machines. Plus, they want them all to have the same laptop for troubleshooting.

I got a Dell D600 Centrino and I want to sell it. I would like to get a new laptop but now I see AMD
has a kick *arse* Turion CPU and I would like to know how does it compare with the Intel Centrino. I
like my current Centrino because it runs cooler compared to the P4 and does the job done. How does
the AMD compare with the Intel Centrino for the low power heat? Also for games, would the Intel
Centrino or AMD be my choice. kservice....
I have a personal laptop for my own use, which I left at home for about 6 hours. The problem was
that I forgot to put on the adapter, so that the battery won't run out. And there I was, when I
came back home, the laptop's battery was out. I immediately connected the charger but the
"Charging Light" was not going on. I tried to turn on the laptop after a while, but it was not
working. I am not sure why my laptop is not recharging. Does anyone know how to fix this problem?
