Flashspring Pro - Review - CPS Labs

BuffaloHELP
I was quick to download CPS Labs FlashSpring Pro because I saw the price tag--$149!!

To install a full version that retails $149 for free was a chance I could not pass. So I downloaded. A mere 3.27MB file?? And CPS Labs charges $149?

After the installation and running the Activation program, I soon began to watch the built-in demo of how this program works. Yikes!! I had to make a PowerPoint presentation to test this converter out.

This is where the first "disadvantage" came about. The industries know that PowerPoint is almost becoming obsolete. When was the last time you saw a PowerPoint presentation and really got you excited? And since public speaking is not a born trait for most of us, many PowerPoint presenters sturggle and fumble while giving PowerPoint presentation. I suppose instead of clicking buttons to go from a page to a page, watching "animated" slide show would be some kind of excitment.

This software puts an emphasis on cross platform compatibility--any machine with any operating system can view the presentation since Flash is universal. Flash also can be smaller file size compare to PowerPoint file. This makes it easier to send the file as an email attachment or put it on a floppy. But if this is the only edge that this company is promoting I think CPS Labs would be disappointed.

No matter who you are, if you are giving a PowerPoint presentation these days you have to have your own laptop. And if you have your own laptop and created your own PowerPoint, chances are you can run your own file very easily--well, unless your laptop crashes. So the issue of cross platform compatibility should not be the major focus. After all, what good is Flash if the content itself is "boring"?

I would recommend CPS Labs to develop a Flash editor that is easy as a pie to all users. Not a converter from another software but a brand new program that can make Flash presentation like a child's toy. Because in order to convert PowerPoint file, you first HAVE to make a PowerPoint file and still not many can make a great presentation using PowerPoint.

But I will give two thumbs up for how easy this software converts from PowerPoint to Flash with integrated menu bar. Basic 3 simple clicks and my PowerPoint was transformed to Flash. smile.gif

My ratings are as follows:
Ease-of-use: 4.5/5
Innovation: 4/5
Practicality: 2/5

£75 is a lot of money for something that does something quite simple. If compatibility is your problem then OpenOffice does the same thing. If you do File --> Export and then choose Macromedia Flash (*.swf), then you've saved yourself a lot of money. OpenOffice is free but has a very large file size (80MB+)

Download: http://openoffice.org
Sample Export: http://img244.imageshack.us/img244/3343/flashpresmi4.swf

Both Microsoft PowerPoint (I believe) and OpenOffice Impress can export files as PDFs and most computer systems have Adobe Acrobat Reader installed today (my computer came with either version 4.0 or 5.0, can't remember).

Another alternative would be to install Microsoft PowerPoint Viewer on the system; it takes up about 4MBs when installed and I used it before I got OpenOffice (when I used Microsoft Works [biggest oxymoron ever]). I would use it as a last resort though. It's got a layout like Windows' forefathers and it's not very nice installing programs on other people's computers:

IPB Image

There are many free alternatives to this software and I would try them before you pay for it (obviously I'm talking about after the offer has expired). Most of you probably have an alternative installed on your computer anyway, whether or not you download it now or pay for it later. After all, what do you expect from a free give-away?

EDIT: Just found out that yesterday, I missed a ten quid Christmas screensaver give-away, which would have been far more useful than this sad.gif Monetary value ≠ Usefulness.

My name is Sergey, from CPS Labs team. I was glad to see that you got some interest in our software, though sadly you didn't find it useful. Anything can happen i think, any product is for its own niche.

Well it has been awhile since I have done one of these even though their was some ok programs and
games I tried out, but wasn't worth the posting though as most of them were already bad or
clones already to what I posted about. Anyway I will be talking about this web editor, and to put
it bluntly it sucks. and I list the reasons why it does. 1. Typo's through the program such as
huperlink, autor 2. Went to validate one of the templates, full of erros 3. Limited coding options
such as uploading an image and basic text formating 4. Pointless Javascripts 5. N....

Well its been about a week or so when I downloaded a descent game from the giveaway site and so I
downloaded Crusaders Of Space: Open Range. At first I saw the picture of this game I thought it was
another addition to another game I installed earlier and that was Hyperspace Invader, which was a
good 3D shooting game, it wasn't. Anyways this game is a spin off on the famous Space Invaders
games, with various bad guys to blow up and stuff as they went back and forth trying to blow you
up. You get various weapons and armor as you go through the levels, some descent ....

The program has lots of cool and sweet Encryption / Decryption functions, loads fast and is

Nothing really original about this software compared to the other ones I reviewed about, it just
lays out in detail about everything in your system specs. Which includes the motherboard,
processor, operating system, memory and other various specs which is useful information when you
have a problem and your talking to a tech on the phone and they are trying to diagnose the problem.
Now has a hardware tech this will be useful if your maintain several computers with different set
ups, and that way you won't get yourself confuse and order the wrong parts or something.....

For the most part it is like glary utilities with a better looking interface, one difference between
the two is that this one has a registry defragger, of course I believe its the same thing like glary
has but using a different name. However, it doesn't have the empty folder search or broken link
search, but still worth the try out and see what it can do and junk. That's about it really
since it is the same kind of software with a different look, name options.....
  7. Bad Review Of Prex 2.0 And Tank Commander
    (0)
This is going to be short and sweet, both programs are horrible, Prevx cut off my internet
connection after installing this program and so that went bye bye, and tank commander I don't
know where to begin. First the file is huge (like over 400 MB), when trying to installing this
program it wipe out a Gig of RAM in a matter of seconds, and when I finally got this game going the
controls are buggy and froze quite a few times. I usually give good reviews but these two programs
are worthless in every way possible after messing with them for a few minutes I deleted them....
  8. 10 Strike And Zombie Smashers Review

Usually I would review the software separately but since both reviews are going to rather short as
in two-three sentences short, I didn't see the need to make separate topics for these two
programs. Well for my first review the 10 strike network inventory explorer it is basically this ,
which is basically a program that monitors all your computers on a single network. Which means this
software is geared towards businesses; small or large. Next program I review is the Zombie
Smashers; put it like this crappy graphics with a River City Ransom feel (RCR is a Nintend....
  9. Funky Farm Review

This is another short review because the concept is pretty simple, especially if you have every
played Sim Farm back in the mid 90's, it is almost the same concept as for making money. Which
you could make by shaving sheep or butcher the animals for me and what not; basically your goal is
that you need to make a certain amount of money within a time frame and then of course move on and
what not. I consider it a ok game to kill some time, or maybe for kids; although the animal killing
might be a bit rough but they never show any blood but still it can be some mind w....
  10. Hard Drive Inspector N E Review

This is going to be a short review just due to the fact if you used or seen what HDDlife software
does, this is exactly the same thing, but the best part about this software is that there are more
options and detail then HDDlife which I like. As for accuracy I call that in the air because
HHDLife is got me in the 80% range while Hard Drive Inspector got me at the 100%. Worth the
download yes it is because it gives plenty of detail on your hardware and so if you need to have it
replaced then you will know what parts to get without the need to tear your computer apart. ....

Well this is interesting bit of software has it literally break down and shows you whats on your
computer and if you have a network in your home such as Wifi you could actually scan those computers
as well. Very interesting software since you can use this for a business to maintain all the
computers and of course if your the hardware maintainer type of person you will be to get all the
information without having to go to every single computer. Also if your computer has more then one
user account you can keep tabs on how many times they logged in and the last time they....

Awesome game, when I saw the images I instantly thought Jets n Guns but I was wrong in the aspect
that you not have to control the player you also have to aim your weapon and pull the trigger the
same time. Lots of blood and gore which you can change it to red or green just like that, although
using a password to enable red kind of defeats the purpose of having blood and guts all over the
place. A good handful of weapons and protection to choose from of course you have to pay for them
and also you can build up your characters stats as well but thats gets a bit expensiv....

Well I just tried this little software package and I would say I am somewhat a bit disappointed in
this package; yeah it's got everything you ever wanted in optimizing your computer in a simple
user interface, I especially liked the fact the software gives you complete listing about everything
that is used to run your computer which I find very useful. However, it's nothing really new

All I have to say is wow, this game is very challenging ever at the noob level, especially if your
weapons over heated after firing them for so long in which you had to wait for them to cool down.
This game is very customizable with all the weapons you can choose from for each level which makes
it extremely re-playable and try out different weapon combinations to survive. Of course another
good thing about this game is that you don't have to be limited in the number of times you can
play, so if you ship blows up you get to start over again and that is helpful when ....

I tried this game today. There is nothing special in this game and I can remember playing something
like this on my old nes console. Some wolves want to reach you by blowing balloons and you have to

    Very Nice (3)
This is a great program. You can customize your own commands to run anything you want. You can
have it play music at the push of a button, shutdown the computer at a certain time. It is really a
great tool. There are so many possibilities you can work with here. You can have them run at
specific times or whatever as well or I guess if you open a certain program as well. You could also
have it enter text into an application at the push of a button as well. It can run or terminate

Elprime Clock Pro - Review This software adds an analogue clock face to your desktop.
You can opt to have the clock on top of all your programs or only have it show when it all programs
are minimised (show on desktop). An incredibly useful feature is that when you put your mouse over
the clock, it gradually invisibilises meaning that you can read text/click on buttons that the clock

This "better homes than yours" style screensaver provides a prefect way to finish decorating your

trial copy of WindowBlinds, desktops but have stumbled upon the risking concept of getting a free
screensaver without the bundled spyware. This is the answer. The screensaver is a tour of a home on

innocently moving around the room and the snow is falling outside. The analogue clock feat....

I've always enjoyed good puzzle games. Pop Cap Games' Bejeweled is one of my favorits.
Mahjongg puzzles give me the headache. The foreign characters are just way to alike from one another
and it's impossible to figure out if it means this or that--thank goodness for colors. This
Majongg Artifacts throws another one at you. Another foreign character--Greek! Yeah, you think
