I just finished up the layout and finally have it about how I want it, I expect I should be able to start putting in the informative pages pretty quickly now that that's over with. I haven't even put in the link buttons yet on the 2nd page but you can get an idea of what the basic look of the site will be anyway.
I heard from some graphic designers that the dark blue doesn't fit in but frankly I like it that way and I'm doing it to express myself through it, so if it suffers a few points in color cohesiveness as a result, so be it. Anyway, what're your thoughts on the site speed, look, etc...?

Nice look Joshua, I personally suggest getting hosted with trap17 (not like you don't have the reputation you need to be recognized around here) to lose those ads. Personally I could give your site a slightly sleeker look and feel with the PHP abilities and some lines of CSS. Being a 'professional' web-designer myself .

@Joshua Again -- Very nice site. Looks very professional. The colors don't work well though. Green and white don't look good together to me. Sorry. And the text needs some work, it's rather pixelated up top.
I've noticed that there are large white sections either side of the banner at the top, perhaps fill that with the green you're using. I agree with Panda, get that site transferred to Trap17 and lose the ads.
Hey, I like the site but how come you're hosted with this server that has ads? Aren't you hosted with Trap17? By the way, the header at your site is a little hard to read, if you don't mind me being frank. thats quite a unique idea for a site. I don't think I've ever come across a site like your's. Keep up the good work. P.S. Try hosting with Trap17, they're ad free and...well, they're a great host! I Guarrantee you, you'll not regret it:)
Nice work, but it could be better if you experiment with PHP and/or CSS for your site. The header is a bit blurry in places. I guess that's about it...but now that you've been a part of the Trap17 community for a while, why not try the hosting service - since it has no ads whatsoever.

OK, for one, you shouldn't close font tags if you didn't open them. Doing a style attribute within a paragraph does not require closing the attribute that you used. Take all of those out first (and there are a lot)
Secondly, one of your META tags, the second one I believe, is kinda screwed up.

and it needs that last quotation mark or it won't work.

Don't close that quotation until after the "margin:20px;" part. All of those combined ought to clear up the validation...or at least let me see what else is wrong with the coding.
And I suppose the buttons are nice...but the colors are still trippy. I mean, this is a religious personal site. Blasts of blue and green, black and white, aren't going to make the mood any more serious than it is now.
kinda plain. Try using photoshop and some css. The green is just way too plain and the white background makes the site look like it was made in the 90's. Good first effort though.

If you made yours in an editing program, it should automatically insert the doctype at the top of your page although some of them insert extra code.
The banner is basically your title although title in HTML signifies the text at the top of a window. It's just site terminology.
Ok, thanks BR, Goosestaf. I've made quite a few editing changes now, the black bar is gone, the Apologetics and Poetry sections have the links in cool looking tables, the buttons are in the same style as the site title now, there's new pages, a shoutbox, and I put the stepping stones section in a nice looking textbox with a scrollbar.

Website Ideas I'm deciding to take down my site, it's getting kind of old and
boring, but I don't want to just stop with having a site. I need some ideas for something that

Hi, I know this site is not very artistic but I've created it so that it can be seen on a 28
kbps modem with decent speed. So that it doesn't take a lot of time to load. So I've
designed a template & used it to display page specific content. This helps me to cache the design &
logos and change the [age specific content at a decent rate. I have myself tried to load the pages
with 33 kbps modem and it loads in almost 5 secs for the first time and later for the next pages it
just loads in a flash. Man it's awsome. I didn't think it will work in thios...

I've always started projects and never finish because I try and do too much but this time I
figured out I really need my own protfolio site when going for a job you need one, people want to
see your work and having it online in one location would be much nicer then having them go to
different links, look in your CD/DVD or computer hard disk drives. I started this 2 days ago and

Hello everyone: Just got a new script (javascript) up and running, and designed a website for it
too. Basically, what it does, in a rather primitive fashion, is that it takes the html code for a
table-oriented layout and converts it to a CSS layout. I've done my best to ensure that it
handles nested tables by generating appropriately, relatively positioned divs. I whipped up the
