| | So a few days ago, I made a calculator for this one game I play that calculates your enemies defense. So I embedded it in an html file, but a lot of people were having problems. So I was wondering: how would I convert the spreadsheet to PHP, Javascript, or ASP?
Thanks! |

Have excell export the data as a CSV (comma seperated values ) file and then use the php function fgetcsv() to read the file after an fopen, etc. http://ca.php.net/manual/en/function.fgetcsv.php explains more details.

Nope, you need to then manipulate the data using ASP or PHP according to the formula you require. Reading the data in to an html file will only print it.

What about exporting Excel as HTML file? Recent version of Excel will have your work as HTML during SAVE AS option. Will this work for you? If not, Google offers Spreadsheet that people can view by your choosing.

F-secure Internet Security 2008

F-Secure Internet Security 2008 suite has all the necessary tools to help users defend themselves
from unsavoury elements while surfing the Net. The program comes with various tools such as virus
and spyware scanners, rootkit scanners, anti-spam for email messages, anti-phishing and firewalls.
A pleasant surprise was the option to scan the computer without installing the software: the option
quickly presented itself when I inserted the installation disk into the PC. The program also gets
itself up and running without much trouble, and scans and quarantines viruses ...

Hints Of Internet Explorer 8 Have Been Dropped

Well this morning I was surfing around the mozilla site when I saw a quick blurb about IE8 on there
site, but started; the improvements of course RSS, CSS, HTML, AJX and so on and so forth, and oh
yeah lets steal a few more idea's from firefox, so far only 2 have been listed; Undo close tab,
saving and restoring sessions . A few sites mentions even more rumors that a IE8A (alpha) is
already being tested at Microsoft, so could we seal a beta in late 2007 or early 2008? Most likely
since thats when FF3 final comes out. Of course the question to us coders is will it ...

Internet Connection Sharing (ics)

My girlfriend an I just recently got broadband cable and since we already had our pc's networked

ad-hoc wireless connection. So I started to look around and I came across this nifty little tool
called CCproxy . It acts as a proxy on the computer sharing the network connection and it works
like a charm. They have a free version which supports up to 3 users at the same time and is oth...

Internet Explorer- Http Error 500 Glitch.
- Read this article I made for more info. (2)
Intenet Explorer Glitch causes HTTP Error 500, which is then cached to become "permanent"! In
Internet Explorer (this occours in ALL versions by the way), the loading of the homepage can lag
considerably if you open IE before connecting to any service. If you open up another page before the
homepage loads, you'll more than likely get a "HTTP 500 Internal Server Error". Due to the way
Internet Explorer deals with pages, the error would be stored in a Cache when it happens. By
default, Internet Explorer uses the Cached version of any page if available to speed ...
Firefox Vs. Internet Explorer
- We get the picture (34)
I am growing tired of how about 65% of threads that were originally started to express something
else entirely somehow wind up being a 'Why FireFox is so much better than Internet Explorer'
thread. Unless it has been specifically asked, no one particularly wants to know about which
browsers of the two you prefer to use, nor how FireFox contains some feature that is totally better
than what something else does - and believe it or not, using FireFox doesn't make you any better
or any more intelligent than someone who uses Internet Explorer (I use neither), and ...
Firefox Will Kill The Internet

Firefox, a great new browser that everyone loves. And why shouldn't they its free, stable,
secure, light weight, customizable and gives you any feature that you could possibly want with
extensions. But these extensions could be responsible fo the death of the internet as we know it.
One of the very first extensions that anyone installs is AdBlock. It blocks ads from any and every
site you visit. Great isn't it. Not really, because the ads are responsible for keeping the rest
of the site free. For example Gmail, it gives you loads of space and loads of features ...
