Why do you think it is legal or not,just go for it if you want those things.Sometime it is legal to share like that but sometime is not,it depends on the administrator of that website.So just go for it.

I don't think this is legal.. it's illegal to download songs from the internet, unless you pay for them (like iTunes), right?

Songs are copyrighted and can not be ripped and shared. It is illeage and killing the music business. Insted of 10,000 cds/mp3s being sold (Leagly) one person buys the cd rippes it and shares it with 10,000 people. Downloading music is as bad as stealing because it is stealing, my sister used to download cds from kazza and limewire, her collection had 1000+ mp3s; if one cd on average is £10 and has 20 songs that is 50p per song so 1000 songs if bought in cds is £500 ($780). So basicly she stole £500 of merchandice. In my opinion it is wrong

I really doubt that any of these are legal. A lot are just search engines and don't host the mp3 files themselves. The disclaimer on the first site says...



That means basically it is illegal unless they are spending their money for all the downloads you make. I mean places like Itunes do indeed have free downloads every week like one and they are offered as promotions in food or whatever but this is completely different so I highly doubt any of these are legal.

If you want to listen to music free online you can do it at http://music.aol.com They have a few commercials here and there but it really isn't that bad. You can download them free too but they have a little AOL add in there as well or something like that.

Hu, whatever, If you don't like to download mp3s from the internet and think it is illegal, so buy cds. Gz, cd is expensive today, i don't have enough money to buy my favourite cds. But if downloading free mp3s in the internet is seriously illegal, where is the "police"?. Why those free mp3 sites still exist.

It is harder than you imply to stop these sites, they are registered and hosted in countries with a govenment who have more serious issues and cant spend the recources to tackle these sites. But you say "Where are the police" have you not herd about the 1000's of people who have been prossicuted for literally $1000's PER illeagle song they have downloaded

One thing I know I'll never be sued or accused or arrested if I still download mp3s free when those sites still exist. As you said, i am doing an illegal thing, and I know not just me. 1/2 people in the world are doing illegal thing too not just mp3 but movie ........
