I need a content manager for my site and i need one where my site can be easily made but can put some html here and there but making it still lool professional. What do you guys reccomend? Thanks.
mambo is better than phpnuke or any of the others. Mambo is the way to go.. lots of templates, easy editing blocks, tons of modules, etc; its the best.
Mambo and/or Xoops are good choices for building standard professional websites. If you're just making a personal website, however, go with either Nucleus CMS or WordPress.
Like previously stated, i would go with mambo, WHICH is now beign developed under the name Joomla! I just whish Fantastico would upsate and add Joomla to the list.

hi, I too would suggest Mambo. It is the best out there among the free CMS(content management systems). Lots of plugins available and easier to configure than most others. I have been using it for over a year now an have also tried phpnuke and postnuke but would choose Mambo anyday over the other two.
btw Joomla is not the same as Mambo. On its site it states that it is developed by the same team that developed Mambo. yeah, if it would be available on fantastico or someway on the cpanel, I would love to try it out. My connection is a little slow for downloading and uploading it using ftp.
Mambo... is horrid. I mean its so not user friendly and the stuff is so hard to configure. How do I change the outlook of the mainpage totally. I can't. And the stuff about categories and sections just gets on my nervers because there is no simple way to do it. Its all very repetitive work.
Of course the plus point is that the website you build with mambo is VERY professional looking and VERY powerful too

Hello, I'm sorry to bother you all again... I've read the TOS and I'm having second
thoughts about the "site must be in English" rule. I was thinking about having some Portuguese stuff
there (because I am portuguese, and sometimes I create portuguese content)... Would there be any
problem? If in doubt, I could of course translate content for further analysis by the
administration... The main site would remain in English, of course.. I know you created the rule to
prevent illegal content... however, I'd really like to have at least some things in portugu....
When I goto upload files using the file manager(legacy mode), the files do not upload correctly.
Every time I try to upload a file, it takes the time to upload it, but the file always comes out
being 0kb so it does not upload the file. Why is this happening?....
I saw my friend using a handy FTP manager to upload stuff stuff onto his site. I wanna know if I can
do that with my trap17 site. Can I download any FTP manager from anywhere and use it here? If so
which one would you guys recommend? What is everyone using? I believe you guys are not uploading
files one by one with the file manager.....
I know awhile back there was a question brought up about the /TMP folder taking up space, and if
anyone remembers that topic do you remember if TMP was an acronym for temporary, and can you safely
delete the contents in that folder? Right now I am cleaning out my hosting account and the files in

Alright, I figured out the edit html windows need to be refreshed each time opening them for them to
show the last updates so you don't just work off the old, un-updated version and mess everything
up (which really should get fixed). The problem that most annoys me though is when I try deleting
files and the File Manager doesn't delete them. I try uploading updated files over them and it
doesn't update them, but just keeps the old ones there. It's getting really annoying. And
when I try deleting stuff from the Trash Can, it never deletes it. Sometime....
First of all, thank you a lot for resolving the password issue. Today I encountered a new one once I

The version of Konqueror that comes with Knoppix 5.1 doesn't support the file manager in the

As part of a web-game on my site, I have a php form that requires people to enter their username,
and information about the characters they want to have in the game. All this information is stored
into a MySQL table. I want the players to be able to visit a page where every character they have
registered with their username can be seen. My question is simply, how can I check the values of
the MySQL data, and act accordingly? What I need to do is check for a Username and a character

Okay guys, I need a bit of help with my new template. I'm kind of a noob at coding, so right now

I want to install a CMS, but the problem is taht all the ones on Fantastico like PHPNuke and Xoops,
say that it can't start installing iot because the directory Public_html already exists and need
to be manually removed. Last time I did this. Nothing worked. Also, I could install this as an
index directory. But would I label it html? Php? I am totally lost. Could someone give me a
complete guide on how to install these. either way? On what I need to do istall it on either the

when i have people register into my phpnuke website they are sent a message throu email to activate
their account...well it doesnt seem to send. i dont know if we have to wait longer or its just
something wrong in my administration panel. Ive had a problem lke this before but email was being
sent...just had wrong urls for the user to click on to activate their account n i fixed it on m

okay i was reviewing the TOS and i wasnt sure if some of the rules were for THIS forum or any forum
that is created on a trap17 host. A user on my forum had an avatar with sexually explicit material
on it. I removed it thinking the TOS didnt allow it. The user challenged me and asked for the link
to the trap17.com TOS. I posted the link for him so he could read it and review it. Upon reading it,

originally, I only had to add one redirect path and it worked fine for quite awhile... but
recently, all of the sudden, its not redirecting to the page I want it to... On top of that, when I
go into redirect manager to actually delete the old path and add a new redirect path, it wont let
me... its really weird... if anybody could help me with that!!! thanks!!!....
