QUOTE(Yacoby @ Oct 31 2006, 04:11 AM) The only time I have ever found use for energy drinks is coming up to exams and getting coursework finished. I don't really drink it any other time because I have seen how much coffee dad needs to drink to just feel alive in the morning, and drinking like that is something I want to avoid.
I would not suggest drinking energy drinks before any exams. Caffiene is NOT good for you, no-matter how much people say it is. It's a quick burst of energy that will leave you burned out and tired a couple hours later. Then there's the addiction factor - when you start drinking them regularly, your going to have a hard time without them, and they cost a LOT. I generally try to stay away from caffeine altogether. As Albus said, if you'd eat your veggies, and especially fruits, you won't need energy drinks. Sugar is a simple carbohydrate, it burns quick and hot, leaving you worn out. Complex carbohydrates, found in many vegetables and fruits keep your body going ALL day. I personally am quite against energy drinks. It give people just another way to head down the easy path. It IS you choice. But may I just say, make it wisely and stay away from them?

Interesting. I've never had an energy drink. Just never really bothered. I used to drink Surge, well that was good LOL. Some of my friends drink Rockstar and Monster all the time. I will have to try one soon. Since I am not a morning person and I have to get up at 5:30. Sooner or later somebody will probably sue over a problem with it.

Energy drinks are just a waste. They are really expensive (Cocaine looks really expensive) and wear you down. If have never had an energy drink and probably never will. After people drink them they just go wacko and aren't themselves, then have those bad setbacks where they are depressed and worn down. It doesn't do any good, and I don't think Cocaine will be any different, although it might attract some druggies with it's name lol

QUOTE(brandon10092 @ Oct 31 2006, 04:42 AM) If you all haven't heard, there's a new energy drink on the market called Cocaine. It's been all over the news recently because of it's high levels of caffeine (I think it was 285 milligrams per can, which is like 3 times as much as Monster and Red Bull.) And since that rapidly increases heart rate, there's concern that it may cause numerous heart attacks. More off-topic though, 711 just told its franchises to take it off the shelves because they thought the name Cocaine was objectable, and since this stuff is only sold in 6 states, it's all over eBay as expected. Anybody had this stuff yet? dang QUOTE(Led @ Oct 31 2006, 09:21 PM) Interesting. I've never had an energy drink. Just never really bothered. I used to drink Surge, well that was good LOL.

They don't have cocaine in coke anymore, it was back in the god ol' days when no-one really cared! Nowadays (and rightly so) they'd get shut down for putting crack into drinks!

Actually research has found that small amount of caffeine every day is good for you. BUT it is *small* amounts - as in not more than four normal size/strength (no expresso!) coffees per day. Although everything else you and Albus said I have to whole heartedly agree with. I was watching a program the other day in which a chick pretty much lived off energy drinks, downing about 40 per week and eating very little (caffeine can supress your appetite). She was trying to lose weight and get healthy on this tv program but they couldn't let her exercise at first because even jogging for a couple of minutes increased her heart rate to being 10bpm away from a heart attack! Her resting heart rate was that of a person doing vigorous exercise! I can't even remember the last time I had fizzy drink let alone an energy drink. They are bad news - stay away from all that sort of crap!

Nowadays (and rightly so) they'd get shut down for putting crack into drinks! That is indeed what it was. Funny enough, although cocaine is a narcotic, used in small doses it becomes a stimulant. All those years ago, someone wanted to make an energy boosting drink (medicinal) and tried to achieve that by mixing very small amounts of cocaine with caffeine and then turning it into liquid, hoping the drink would have the desired effect. It did, however, not work out the way he had wanted it to and he gave up, leaving the formula to his drink behind in the process. There it was picked up by someone who actually used it and became a billionaire with it, you guessed it, the inventor of Coca Cola. Although there is no longer any cocaine in Coke, I think it still has a hint of a sort of medicine taste. But, you can check this out, this is the true story about how it all started.

The Power Of Prayer
Energy at it's focused best (6) What is prayer really? Think about it for a moment. Prayer. It is the moment of focusing your
energy ( your thoughts, wishes, desires, needs whether for yourself or another). Sure a lot of
people don't see it like that. Most see it as a communication with Deity ( Dear God, Dear Jesus,
Dear Goddess, Dear Shiva, etc). If you are religious I'm not going to tell you that praying

Energy From Green Plants?
(6) Anybody ever wondered about this? Green plants undergo photosynthesis to produce oxygen. In the
process, water is splitted through photolysis and this results in production of two hydrogen atoms
and one oxygen atoms. The oxygen is released, and hydrogen combined with carbon dioxide to form
carbohydrate. My idea is to trap the hydrogen before it is used up and funnel it to a storage tank,
which then can be burnt to generate electricity. Theoretically, this could be done but then tiny
nanoscopic devices will need to be integrated into the photosynthetic cells itself. The....
Vampires That Really Do Drink Blood

bats that drink blood, that he incorporated them in his book 'Dracula.' I was quite

Thinking Of Designing A New High Energy Sport.

things that may gain the interest of sports fans. The base idea stays very close to soccer but
with a lot of differences. Now there will be a soccer type ball as apposed to a football o....
How To Drink With The Best Of Them

below... Anyway this thing, being 4 liters, fits approx two 2Litre pop bottles (just so you know
how heavy, large, and how much much liquid it would fit). So its not to big to carry around, or too
heavy. I figured it would fit a two liter bottle of pop (your choice) and a twixer (26....
