| | I am looking for some freeware software that allows you to create the circuit diagram or layout from a selection of components. I don't necessarily need to be able to run the circuit on the computer, just draw it. If anyone knows of any such software, then please let me know. Thanks in advance. |

My favorite program is this
http://www.smartdraw.com/exp/tec/symbols/engineering.htmOne program will do thousands of different flow-charts and diagrams. It's known as the missing component to your MS Office Suite. You can import to your web, Office or as a picture (jpg, gif, bmp).

I only used Electronics Workbench and Protel, so I can't recommend one, but here are some links, check them out:

There is alos a program called TinyCAD try looking on google, it's quite simple.
