| | i know where to go to change my domain name for 15 credits, but before i do, i need a question answered
my subdomain on trap is wildcat-exotics. i just recieved my free domain name(wildcatexotics.com) and used it as an addon domain. i don't wish to do this. i also have another addon domain to my trap account called petsxpress.info for a total of two addon domains to my wildcat-exotics account.
my question is, when i change domains from wildcat-exotics.trap17.com to wildcatexotics.com, do i need to change anything or delete anything in my cpanel? how will my addon domains be affected? do i need to delete "wildcatexotics.com" as an addon domain in able to change that to my main hosted domain? will everything just be wiped clean and start fresh with my new domain?(in fact, i prefer this method) where i will just have to upload my files again?
not to sure what the proccess is when i swtich domains and need someone to clarify this for me. thanks in advance |

Yes, yes and more yes. When you change your domain name that was "tied" to Trap17 hosting, all other add-on domains will have ill effects. Your files will not be deleted but the binding will not recognize add-on domains by your changed domain name. So for this reason, please perform the following to ensure proper web setting. Always create a full backup before performing any hosting modification action. 1) unAdd-on all add-on domains wildcatexotics.com and petsxpress.info 2) change your "tied" domain name to your new domain 3) Add-on remaining domain(s) -- in this case just petsxpress.info Notes of abnormalities: when you unAdd-on a domain, the folder created by initial Add-on will still remain. When you Add-on a domain name you will be asked to name the folder you wish to associate. While it is possible that you can use the same folder left by the previous unAdd, be prepare to delete the existing folder and create a new one. This is where your backup comes in handy. If you have to create a new folder you can simply upload files for this Add-on domain and you should be all set.

Spammers Using My Domain To Send Spam

Sub Domain Problem : Urgent
Cannot access my sub domains (10) Hi, I am having some serious problems with my sub domains. I registered a site with trap17 named
http://zoebelkin.co.cc . Then I made 2 sub domains for the site. One is for the forums section
and the other is for the gallery section. 1> forums.zoebelkin.co.cc 2> gallery.zoebelkin.co.cc
Whenever I type these in the browser adress bar the browser gives an output that it cannot find the
web sites. But they are complete and should show something. Also using www. in front of the sub

price for purchasing the domain name, but then there is a transfer price. I have never bought a

How to change my DNS records? (5) I need to change my DNS records, that is, to add several CNAME records... Now, I registered my top
level domain (.net) through my ISP, and they in turn registered my domain at some other registrar...
Now, my ISP doesn't give me CPanel to update my DNS info, if I don't buy their hosting plan
(which is pathetic compared to Trap17 free account)... I had them change my nameservers to Trap17
servers, and now, they tell me I need to edit CNAME records on Trap17 nameservers... I must admit
I'm not really familiar with how all that DNS administration works, so I want....

credits havent been taken off 2.this keeps showing up on all the pages: Not Found The requested URL

(2) Hey. Today I decided to change my default domain to a subdomain; I kinda needed a personal website
but I don't have the time to spend 5 hours waiting for the Uni.CC name servers to set up.
Anyway, I collected a couple more hosting credits to that I had enough to change it, and changed my
default domain to http://minik.trap17.com/ . It changed my new domain to go to my public_html
directory and I checked and the addon domains were still working. I got annoyed at having so many

Really Important Question! (8) My friend, Sabina, has a domain(www.binaland.com). She hosts her files on one of her friends hard

Question About Changing Hosting Type.
