| | I have been facing so many problems with my HP printer for use on my Mac, I am thinking of getting a new one.
I intend to use this printer at home for document printing, some scanning and copying, pretty much what you would do with a normal printer at home. I have set my eye on the Canon PIXMA MP145, but for some reason it is going around for sale by many locals in forums, that makes me wonder how good is it when so many people are trying to get rid of it.
Do you guys have any recommendation? I am willing to take a look except at HP printers. It would be good if the printer does not cost more than USD 100. |

I have a Brother MFC-3360c. It can do everything you're asking for, and for under $100. The one i have i've owned for over a month and hasn't failed me yet, so it seems reliable enough to be recommending. The website also provides drivers for Linux, thankfully. I got the printer part to work under Linux; the scanner part i still need to get to work (xsane doesn't seem to be picking up the machine even though i see it on the list...). You can find Mac and Vista drivers at their site, too.

I also have a Brother, though it's a 110C (I think). The ink cartridges are cheap and the black lasts a long time. Keep away from Lexmark. Yes, their machines are cheap, but they kill you on the ink cartridges. I was paying $24 for black cartridges and they barely last for a month.

Which Printer Has Long-lasting Ink?
(4) So right now I am using the Lexmark x5470. I just printed 2 pages worth of colorful pages (starting
at 100% full cartridge) and now it shows that I have 50% left of color ink! I've printed 10
pages with the same color and I stilled had a decent amount of ink--and this was 7 years ago. Since
this printer can't be returned any more because it's already past the 30 day return policy,
I'm going to be stuck with this for a while. However, can anyone recommend a good printer which

(2) i have been trying to share a printer for a long time. my setup goes:
modem-->router-->office comp, radio room comp, wireless router-->my
computer-->wireless laptop is there a way i can set up a vpn, with hamachi maybe? or set up
some sort of network so i can print from any of those computers. by the way, the printer is on the
office computer. and i have trouble opening ports in my wireless router, mainly for hosting
private servers for moparscape. i can use hamachi for it, but cant us www.no-ip.com 's no-ip

Problem With Printer
Everything is in the German language (1) I have a printer and for some strange reason when i installed it i think i accidentally clicked for
it to be in the German language, now im having a printing problem but dont know what the problem is
since the instructions are in German. I went to "my computer" and deleted the software, but the
printer still is in the german language and i dont know how to change it. Does anyone know how i can
completely remove the printer from my computer and then i want to reinstall it again in the english
