| | I AM VERY MUCH ADDICTED TO NET and my freinds used to call me net-eria(means a net being) i couldn't concentrate on my studies at that time but i worked over it to overcome that addiction now i only spend 10 hours a week on the net only. i think it is not addiction anymore relative to 50+ hours a week which i earlier used to spend on the net and that too on cheap sites. i think maturity comes only after some experience.

yeah the internet can be addictive. I guess you could say I am addicted to the net. What makes it worse is I work with computers and interent so its so easy to get distracted. Like right now I'm surpose to be doing some programming yet I'm trying to get some points lol. I do spend alot of hours each day just broswing though.

Do your school work. There will be time enough for Browsing when you are old, like me, with no life... Seriously, get an education before you get to the point where you no longer have the options available to pursue the career of your choice. I got mine a long time ago... before Al Gore invented the Internet, but, of course, I had other distractions...

I am addicted to my pc, if Im not online I am doing something on it, studying on it, watching movies on it, playing games on it... its the best invention in the world!! Only problem is though, I spend all my time, building sites, reading reviews, searching for jobs, watching movies.. I should really get a life!! But the people who slag us off are the ones who don't use the internet for decent resources or to use it's full potential.

You should also include me in the addiction list. I am a bigtime Internet Addict and love to explore things online. MOst of my time is spent reading things happening around the world be Happenings, Hot news, Technology, Politics, etc etc . Of course the next question will be like what do i use to do to keep me updated.... 1. Google Reader - I use it extensively 2. Google News - My next resource.... If you really want to know how addicted i am in internet you should take a look at one of the post in my blog where i have recorded my spendings online. http://varalu.blogspot.com/2007/11/am-i-addicted.htmlWell, i guess i will have to shut down my system and get to the real world. I wish i can ignore all my mails, forum activities, my other interests online, blogs etc.

I think I became addicted to the internet when we had our DSL connected at home. I was downloading a lot of stuff that I couldn't download when we still had dial-up. It also came to a point where I do a lot of chatting over the internet that I rarely go out of the house and play with my neighbor friends. While it helped me ease my cravings for some daily surfing, it also helped me a lot in my assignments in school. As time passed by, I have toned down my usage of the internet. I only use it to check my mails, maybe update my website if I have time, and of course go to trap to gather credits. I'm now working, so I really don't have a lot of time in my hands for other non-work related stuff. We have internet access at work, but I rarely use it for personal stuff.

I used to be very addicted to the internet also, but who knows, maybe it was just that the internet was so slow back then (56k connection) that it took a while to navigate and load pages. I mainly used it for playing online, it was very addictive, with games such as quake and starcraft. I changed all that for music recording and production, thats were all my time goes nowadays.

i get free internet access in my hostel room. so, what i do is, come back from college and stright away sit before the computer. i will get up only for dinner and to go to bed(very late in the night). but, this usuall proceedure (or routine) is not a adiction to me(i think so). because if there is a ny work to be completed the next day, then i have the strenght and courage to not sit before the computer and waste my time(as others say). i can control myself if needed. i sit before the computer and the internet only because i get free internet access and also because i have no other job to do during that time. you know what i do in the internet, i check my mail once in every 5 mins, check out my orkut profile once in 30 mins, serch for some extra information which i can gather regarding the topic which was lectured that day. i try to learn more about that topic( but obly if it interests me). so, pretty well am not wasting my time on the internet). it is for educational purpose(you have to agree to that) only. if anyone of you are addicted ten, please start reading Books. it will help you a lot to divert your attention from the internet for a while. a long term likeness for something less (like reading books) will surely reduce internet addiction. good luck!

The internet is addicting, and the possibilities are endless on the 'tinternet' There will always be something you won't have ever done, sitting on the internet, and with it growing at a rapid speed more and more people are spending their life's on the Net. As much as concerning it is, it's also bad for your health. It's recommended you take a break every once in a while - But I don't follow that advice, as I've already mentioned in my last post... I'm addicted.

I am a bit addicted to my PC....i admit it is one of the greatest inventions of all time...as long as i am in my room,i spent time on my PC gaming, movies, surfing etc....as i am in a hostel, there is nothing that would stop me from doing so...the only thing which keeps me away from my PC is ...soccer. i like playing soccer a lot. Its the only thing that can stop me in the middle of a PC game or a movie.. so those guys who wish to get away from their PC addiction, should try some outdoor activities.... they keep ur mind fresh and healthy...

A Personal Letter To Tyra Banks - Cutting Addiction
About addiction to cutting and endorphins (0) I was watching the Tyra Banks show today ( because there is little else on at 6 am) and her guests
were people with addictions. Tyra covered a variety of addictions such as alcoholism, surgery,
shopping, and cutting on oneself. After the show I wrote her an email ( I have no idea if she will
ever see it) about the viscious cycle that is involved with people who cut themselves. I thought I
would share my email and personal story here because cutting oneself is on an extraordinary rise (
particularly in our youth today) and I wanted to help educate some of the behind the ....

Coca-cola Addiction
Sorts of addiction (16) When people talk about some kind of addiction they usually connect it with the drug abuse or drug
habit (cocaine, marihuana, ecstasy etc.) but I think that every thing that is consumed in high
quantity can be considered as injurious to health and it's after someone need it for ceaseless
use so we can say it's addiction. I'll give you an example with one of my friends that has
addiction to Coca-Cola. He always come to work with at least 1 bottle of 500ml, but often he can be
seen with 2 litres bottle. He drinks Cola all the day, in work, in the café or just ....
Addiction To The Computer
(26) Once I ever got to know how to use a computer and found out many things that a computer can do I was
surprised. It all started when I got on a computer for my first time playing a game that my cousin
had let me play. This was 5 years ago and now I am very addicted to the computer and if I stop using
the computer for about a day or week I feel like i'm gonna die or something. The only time I
don't feel like using the computer is when my cousins and families visit from other places. Or
when I play a video game that is not on the computer.....

Prescription Drugs
Beating addiction to prescription drugs (2) You could (and once upon a time I did) say just don't get on them, but maybe you didn't
break your sternum while you were trying to heal from four broken vertebrae. I was in the hospital a
very long time, and while I was there they gave me Dilaudid, which is stronger than morphine, which
is stronger than any heroin you'd find on the street. I was very worried because in my job I
meet people who got addicted to these medicines and ended up buying them on the street, losing their
jobs, etc. People I worked with lost their jobs because of it. Until this year, I....
Addiction To Games
(34) So I was watching the News the other day, which is slightly unusual to me when a Report came up on
Video Game Addictions. I thought this was sort of weird, because Video games don't contain
nicotine, or an addictive substance, at least I hope, but further on the Report started to make more
sense. It explained Video Games cause a psychological addiction ,and the addiction occurs because of
the experience, and the good feeling you get from playing them. I am a gamer myself and never
realized the addiction, so this Report sort of scarred me a bit. Now that I look back o....
Caffeine Addiction
Is Caffeine Really A Drug? (31) As many of you may have heard, caffeine can be considered a drug to some. What are your opinions on
this subject? Obviously, like any drug, caffeine can affect some, while others can be unaffected.
For example, I drink soda, usually two cans a day. Now, I have gone sometimes a week or two without
soda though, clearly stating it has no control over me, but I have heard it can affect others in
strange ways. For some caffeine consumers, if they go too long with it, they will get headaches,
nausea, etc. But I rarely see this is people. This is most people's defens....

What Is An Addiction?
Your views on what can be included an addiction (24) Hello everyone, The other day I was talking to a couple of my friends and as I was nagging them to
stop smoking one of them said that my nagging too is sort of an addiction like their smoking. I mean
the fact that the habit of nagging is considered an addiction. That set me thinking that for all
we know, Everything that we do might be an addiction, our computers, books, videogames, Junk food. I
totally agree that Iam addicted to food, books, talking and games. Dont you think that posting too
is an addiction in a way? Freaky but so cool. I'd love to hear about wh....
