For those of you who haven't heard of it, Adobe GoLive is an HTML editor in which you can basically view the page at the same time as you edit it. It's very convienient for people who know just basic HTML to encorporate envanced HTML into their page.

Basically, it makes things a hell of a lot easier for people with little knowledge of HTML, or people with a lot of knowledge who are just being lazy.

Also, together with photoshop, you should be able to make a website in under a day using this tool. It's very useful, and I'd recommend versions 6.0 or higher.

You can get a free trial of the newest version of the product (CS2) on www.adobe.com .

Basically it is the same thing as Macromedia Dreamweaver which they now are the same company. In dreamweaver you can do the same thing. Type in HTML and view the design. It can be either split screen so you see both or just one at a time. It is pretty easy and photoshop/dreamweaver works fine too for me. I guess it really depends what product you like better or feel more comfortable with. I prefer Dreamweaver though.

i have not used any HTML Editors other than Ace HTML and that is becaus i felt no need for it, after i downloaded Ace HTML i said this only has stuff that i know about..but since soo many people like Dreamweaver i might go with it and see what it has...or ill go with Adobe Golive just to test them both out

Yea they already have the new Studio 8 mixed with some of the Adobe products probably editted to co work with the other. I forget what all is included.

GoLive is actually much worse than Dreamweaver cos it inserts its own custom (non-standard) code into your page.

the "non standard code" that adobe golive is note a problem at all to deal with....i dont know why you say how its so much worse than dreaweaver just becuase of that...

Because it's NON-STANDARD - it's not s'posed to be there, it doesn't validate that's why.

Do you think the W3C wrote the specs just so they could be ignored by an individual WYSIWYG software manufacturer?

Dreamweaver much better than Adobe GoLive. Dreamweaver is completely ease of use and we have the flexibility of adding our own and many more. All these are absent in GoLive. But GoLive CS2 seems to have more enhancements and much better than the previous versions.

But I'll stick with Dreamweaver and currently I am using Dreamweaver 8. Th laest offering from Adobe.

I know Adobe GoLive. I have not used it yet but I am planning to. I have seen the preview on how to use it at the Adobe website, and I find it easy to use and navigate. You can drag and drop some stuff which makes it easier to create and design webpages. Right now I am comfortable using Microsoft Frontpage Express and Adobe ImageReady and I will stick with those two for now. I am planning to use Macromedia Dreamweaver and Adobe GoLive in the not so long future.

I've always used photoshop for everything. It has always seemed to me to be the best program
ever But now that I have used illustrator in my animation classes, I'm starting to wonder
whether or not I should start saving up some money to buy it because it's soooo good and I can

3ds Max And Adobe Illustrator - Could any one help me? (0)

Can any one give me basic tips on how to use these. I just got these programs yesterday and I
