| | Yesterday my host request was approved.
Today i was making the website and i tried to host a forum. The website theme is programming, helps, guides, computing, tutorials on different programming languages. And i realised that a forum is more handy for helps and tutorials, and the users can help each others in a easier way.
My doubt is:
Is it really necessary a portal for my case? And can i sell programs at my website if i want to?

Your site needs to conform to the Terms of Service and Acceptable Use Policy as per the Trap17 Readme, and as long as it is a Legal activity (no warez, no porn, etc) you are free to do with the account as you see fit. Sell stuff, advertise things, or nothing at all. It is yours.

Host Problems

Are they still the same? (1) Are the trap17 host servers still the same? Right now my domain has its DNS set to ns1.trap17.com
and ns2.trap17.com, am I correct or did the server change also change the DNS?? Thank you

Help Needed From Experienced Web Developers

Unable To Resolve Host Name Using Ftp. Help!
(2) I am using SmartFTP but it will not connect to the site here. I am using my username and password.

Moving Phpbb2 Forums To This Host.
I want to make sure it goes right. (3) I am moving my phpBB2 forums from my old host, my-php.net, to this one. I have full access to my old
forums. I was wanting help on this to make sure nothing goes wrong. My forum members and I can not
risk having to lose all of our current information. So what I am thinking I have to do is. Export
my forums mySQL database with phpmyadmin. Import it into my database here on this host. Move the
forum directory to this sites ftp account. Change the root directory in my forum settings. I know
there has to be some things I have to change right? Some files or other settings....

Can I Transfer Credits From Trap 17 To Asta Host?
Is it possible? (2) I was wondering if i could somehow transfer some of my credits from my Trap 17 account to my Asta
host account because i have gained many credits here at Trap 17 and i am having a hard time gaining

Changing Domain Name On Trap17
Instruction Needed (4) concerning my recent application for a default credit account, I somehow managed to enter a xxxx.com
for the "requested address" instead of xxx.trap17.com. I think I was just fiddling around with the
text fields and forgot to go back and change that feild before I hit the submit button. By then, it
was too late and my credits reverted to "days" and I can't create a new hosting address.
I'm afraid to do the "terminate account" because then I'd have to start over from scratch.
Ideas? yes it was my fault, just hoping to remedy this before it's too late.....

Help Needed (1) Hi, I am running a phpBB Forum - the one that I got from my cPanel. There is something that I want
to be able to do and I am unsure how to do it. It is similar to what Trap 17 has when a Moderator
Edits a post and places a message in the post in the Box. I want to be able to have my Moderators

Help Moving Mysql Files To A New Host
IPB files (1) Well, my partners on my forum has decided to move our site to a newer host. A paid one to be exact.
And we did that already. Now all we need to do is move our forum over to the new host. We want to
do this without losing all of our posts and other data. I know it has something to do with the MySQL

How Does One Terminate Their Account
To Move Their Site To Another Host (4) Okay, I've had my site here for a few months, and the hosting is brilliant and everything. But
my dad bought his own servers, and says it would be best if I switch to them and he'll host my
site there. The switch won't be happening for a few weeks yet, so I don't want my account
terminated immediately. But once I have moved everything, how do I go about having my account here
closed? Do I just say, "I'm done, you can close my account now" to one of the Admins? I'd

To Keep Accounts Set As Active (11) I'm going on vacation today, and I counted up the number of days that I will be gone, which is
19 (I'm fairly sure) and I checked that with the number of credits I now have in store. I
realized that I would have about seven left after my trip and I realized that I wasn't exactly
sure how many credits were required to keep an account set as "active" because I have heard many
different numbers from both other users and moderators ranging from 5 to 10 and I was just wondering

really are the best Free Host (8) Hallo, i have used many free hosts and this is by far teh best. I just got approved and signed in 5
min. ago and WOW WEE it is really really good! The cPanel looks absoulty amazing and everything
is tidy and orgainzed. u'd think it was an paid host but NO!. Thank you again admins and
staff of Trap 17, u guys really are teh best FREE host there is on the net. BTW: i have encountered
a couple fo scam hosts that tell u teh wrong ftp, user name,... so on... Don't use byehost.com.

NetscapeNav can't find my homepage (2) Hi all, Heres the latest in the browser display problems. Updated my homepage via ftp. -(deleted the
old home page in the "www" & "public_html" folders & the ROOT directory "_sgt" & "_sgg"
folders..before ftp'ing the update). Verrified that all new homepage updates had the correct
"last modified" date (ie. the server was showing the newest version I just updated in all file
folders which were previously deleted). Homepage uses HTML with CSS & tables only- no php or

Page displays differently in different browsers (8) Hi all, PROBLEM: The animated gifs on my webpage aren't animated when you view the page with IE
ver6.0 but ther ARE animated when you view the page with Netscape Navigator ver 7.2. Does this have
something to do with the browser settings in IE6 OR is it another issue?? Any suggestions???? All
