30 GB Mailbox :Jaws dropped: well that is huge(more stress on huge), I'm sure it will be nice to have it in pocket..as just a show off thingy! One more thing...as they are only offering signups using Invites..so that is one positive thing that they'll stay for long. Anyways..who is having an account with this company..i would like to have one account but only if they allow to upload EXE files as well. I'm sure that this company can do well in future but only if, they make it a bit popular..because this is the first time i've heard of this service. They'll need to hire some SEO's or Put ADS on TRAP17

Wow... two accounts here, and I have more space off my e-mail accounts than on my hard disk! The whole big-mailbox idea is cool, but this sounds - erm... a little too big. I wouldn't know what to do with that much space - most of it would probably go unused. I'll do fine on any mail service that supports free pop access, I generally prefer having the mail on my disk, easier to backup, etc, etc. The actual size of the mailbox online used to be irrelevant till... *sigh* gmail. (I have fallen in love with that interface - conversations and labels - I am finding it hard coming back to thunderbird ) Okay, before I wander completely off-topic - I must say I haven't heard of this before either, but I am sure after this post, a lot of people will be checking it out soon - they might come up with ads soon, though.

This is interesting. I wonder how they just offer that much space. But email addresses like username@30gigs.com doesn't sound impressive at all. Besides, will anyone actually use more than 2GB. If so what sort of files will they keep there? Also I just wanted to ask are they providing features like search within email inbox? How is the inbox function? Is it like Gmail or just like any other normal email services? Thanks.

Donīt know... a little after gmail was developed there was a provider of 1 terabyte. I think it was a motorbikers portal or something like that. I made an account just to test it and there were a lot of slowness and connection problems. So I suppose that it must be a great company that offers so much space because if itīs not like that, itīs difficult to deal with it. Besides, I donīt need more than 2,5 gigas... but any offer is good.

I bet if you popmail all your emails to that and let the spam emails fill up in their odds are in like 1 week it will be filled with junk mail. But i think that is a little excessive if your not in the business world to need such a big email account like that.

I agree with the few posts in this threads stating that the 30gb space is unneeded. For standard mail usage, gmail's 2.5gb, itself, is more than needed aswell. The idea for e-mail, is that you can communicate with other internet users quickly and freely/easily, compared to standard mail via post etc. OK, admittedly, those who like to attach fairly big files to emails need quite a bit of space, but I believe that if you extend past gmail's 2.5gb then you are hogging the system and should be deleting the emails/attachements. This is only my opinion though!

30 Gigs seems a bit excessive. Gmail is more then enough for standard mail. Though I will still make an account.

I suppose it allows you to show off and annoy everyone with a GMail account... "Hey, I have a 2.5GB inbox!" "Yeah? I have 30GB!" Could anyone seriously ever need 30GB of inbox space? I have never deleted a single email delivered to my GMail account for well over a year, and I still haven't filled it up. Like most people on here, I'll still try and get hold of an account though! If anyone wants to send me an invite, PM me

The 30gigs.com interface for the accessing is not user friendly. In no means can it be compared with GMail. Only 30Gigs of space that cannot be properly organised and easily accessible is just waste. The interface lacks the essential components like folders or labels. If they provided abetter user interface then the number of users will definitely increase. And the 30 gigs of space can be used as we use the GMail space.
