This is a good topic: I know many text based RPGs and MMORPGs. Here they are. Eragon Live at www.eragonlive.com is EXCELLENT. It is Eragon-themed. Make a character and live an Eragon-themed life.... Kill Galbatorix, become a Shade when you die, travel to Ellesmera, get armor, pets, gems, money, items and weapons and stuff like that. It is text based and I reccommend (did I spell that right?) it. Another is Vagabond's Quest. I know that VG is text based, I played it a long time ago and I don't remember much of it. There is also Vagabond's Quest 2 and you should check it out, but I don't know if it is text based or not. Sorry, you'll have to find out! The Crims is a criminal-based text RPG. You just be a criminal and shoot people and steal, make alliances and stuff like that. You also buy guns and knives and weapons and things. Very violent, if you like that sort of thing. I guess it is cool but I didn't like it that much, but you should try it out definetly. You can find more text based RPGs by going to Google and typing in "free online text RPG" or something like that. I'm sure you'll find lots of good results. I am going to see if I can create my own text based RPG. If I succeed in making one, I will post in on this forum and you will be notified immediately. I have played Kings of Chaos and it is not that good. I couldn't really figure it out, but although you said you didn't want to play it, I think you should try it out. Just to see if you like it. I like to play Tribal wars, its war game, build up your village, join a tribe, take your neighbors village from them, the version I play is English only, but they have some language specific versions out there. you'll have to search for them to find one of them though. The English only version is at http://www.tribalwars.net/They have 6 game worlds, pick one or all. All tribes have a forum for communication, most tribes require forum participation, and are very strict about this!!!! Check it out and see what you think.

Text based? Legend of the Red Dragon is a good text adventure game that's "online"(well, BBS, so not on the internet per se). Try BBSes. Those are where you'll find text based MMORPGs.

Any Animal Mmorpgs?
(2) I like MMORPGs alot and animal-themed ones are the best!! I like how in some mmos you can
make an animal character, and name it and stuff, but unfortunately there aren't many of these
type of MMORPGs... I know of Club Penguin, Penguin Chat, Furcadia, Avatar Chat, Pokemon Online (and

praise to Anarchy Online (6) There was a recent post about someone asking what good free mmo's are available for free
download. Im not necessarily going to make a list but all are welcome to do so and comment on what
im about to say. I without a doubt believe that for anyone who tries it and hangs in there long
enough to see all the features of the game that ANARCHY ONLINE is indeed the supreme in free

attractive at start but really get boring fast. Which is your favourite payable and your favourite
free MMOs? Personaly i must say that guild wars is my fav, since it was quite fun, but not adictive
like eve online. Some of my favoruite free ones are thang online and knight online, but thang isnt
really worth playing, and knight online has too many power gamers and cheaters that mess up pvp,
plus its way too grinding (thats another reason i love guild wars, no grinding =D)....
Linux Ports For Mmorpg's
Not enough linux games (9) As the years go by and linux becomes more user friendly, more and more people are using it.
However, there are some drawbacks to using linux. I am an avid linux user and it really ticks me
off that I can not play my favorite MMORPG natively in linux. I think that the gaming communities
should start making linux ports for their games, it is not that hard. If they did, it would also
boost their profits because I know many people who do nopt buy games just because they do not run a

beta stages (Almost Omega). It is very addicting so be warned, you may spend hours on here, trying
to upgrade and level up. I am talking about Dark Throne . In Dark Throne you start off and choose
1 of four classes and in each of those classes are sub-classes. What you do is train your army to
great strength and popularity. You can battle other members and win gold off of them. The more gold

(13) You have been chatting here about Anarchy and Guild Wars. Well, I didnīt know them (Iīll check them)
but here is the one I like; Planeshift. Anyone knows it? Planeshift is an RPG 3D online game. I
think itīs similar to Everquest and that kind of games (which are usually paying). But PS is free
and it is created by users (if you know to make polygons, textures, maps and things like that you
can help to develope it. If you donīt, just play and tell what would you change to make it better).
Itīs available at least in Windows and Linux and Iīm amazed of the minimal resource....

What's your poison? (5) Ill go first, my MMORPGs are Everquest II, because its immersive and has lots of good points (like
graphics, quests, races etc...) Star Wars Galaxies, well that's because I'm a starwars geek,
and just the idea of running around on Tatooine, watching the twin suns set gives me the chills
