A good service is at least 80% of what is advertised by your ISP. Some people get confused by Kbps (Kilobits per second), which isnt Kilobytes per second, that makes a big difference.

Yeah that's right... many friends are asking me... "Well they're offering 384 kb/s and i'm only getting 48 kb/s. Why?". Now talking about the good service... you're right on this one. Most of the time it's impossible to get full speeds. By the way, another important factor on defining a service as good or bad is their uptime. I got a pretty good uptime

yeah becca get a new isp, see what they have locally, you usually get the better deal besides AOL and if you look at my profile you can see my opinion of AOL.

I've got 512 but my provider has very limited internation bandwidth! 232kbps download and Upload 176kbps. I should have applied for 256kbps package!!

(5) im not really sure why this is happeneing. Firstly, let me explain how this is all set up I have a
cable modem, which has a cord going into my wireless router, and also into my desktop. now last

Very Slow Upload Speeds With Router :(
Etech ADSL Modem Router (2) I recently bought an E-Tech ADSL Modem Router, I think I have configured everything as it should be.
If I download a file the speed is OK, but if I upload a file the speeds drop to arround 10 kb/s
while they where arround 50 kb/s before I got the modemrouter /sad.gif' border='0'

slow...my dl rate use to be about 150-500kbs from www.yousendit.com. when i was using an ethernet

Wow... where do I start? (3) Ok I have to basic issues. 1)- When I startup my computer, in order to connect to my DSL access, I
need to go into the command prompt and type "net start dhcp server" Otherwise I end up with all
