| | Is it possible to add a sub-domain to a local web site hosted off my computer. For example, could I add a .tk domain to view my website instead of typing http://localhost in my web browser.
p.s. I am running this off an apache web server. |

Go to http://httpd.apache.org/docs/1.3/vhosts/ and read about Virtual Name Hosting and the changes required to the Apache Directives file on your machine.<br />and then go to http://httpd.apache.org/docs/1.3/vhosts/examples.html to see examples of configuring an Apache Server with Virtual Hosts using names instead of IP's. You may require a change to your HOSTS file on your local machine as well. Also, look in the Tutorial Section here and search on XAMPP. Tyssen wrote some information about altering these ini and hosts files to allow "subdomains" as you are requesting. It is simple once you figure out which ini file to mod.

(0) The only reason i choose ms sql server rather than mysql is, MS SQL has more security
features!! MySQL is lacking a lot in my opinions - Lack in wide char, like nvarchar, I
developed some application to support chinese letter, and dont know how to build one in mysql - Lack
in t-sql syntax, like query in query is not fully supported - Does not have today SQL features like
BI support (today really required) And compare MS SQL to MySQL, the only reason why mysql is

Two Lan Ports Problem
cant connect to counter-strike server (3) here....i think i know the problem...but i cant find the solution.... I use windows XP SP 2 ...Asus
motherboard.. I use integrated Ethernet port (NVIDIA nforce controller) to connect to the hostel LAN
and used the same connection to get internet (using proxy). I played counter-strike without any
problem... Everything worked fine until i took a direct ADSL internet connection... So i installed
a separate ethernet card (INTEX rtl8139D) which i use to connect to the internet... So now i have
two LAN ports ...one for internet and one for LAN... The problem is...i cant con....
