Three new variants of the Sober worm are spreading across the Internet via e-mail messages. These viruses are activated when a user clicks on malacious attachment.
But the attachments can be recognized by their names: Exceltab-packed_List.exe, Liste.zip and Reg-List-Dat_Packer2.exe., reg_text.zip Word-Text.zip, Word-Text_packedList.exe and Word-Text_packedList.zip.
Last month, a variant of the Sober worm was spread as an attachment that claimed to be an old class photo sent by a schoolmate.
Sober can hijack a Windows-based computer and force it to send spam e-mails. The continuous e-mailing can lead to overloaded servers and reduced network performance.
The virus creators appeared to taunt security experts with a message left in the code which reads: "Use your debuggers, it's fun."

Obviously a dangerous virus. You could be blamed for spamming too. I dislike viruses (I wonder why). The worst I think is malware because it causes your operating system to lose function. Thanks for the alert. I hope they come out with a good anti virues for it. I mean, spread by a click, that is bad. You usually have to click and open the attachment. Oh well, thanks for the alert. I will be watching out for this one.
Yeah, its horrible... I dont know whats the meaning of making viruses and distroy others computer. I hate Viruses, they stuck on my computer and I have to find them and remove them... Rghhh...
Who was the first who got this tought and started to make visuses? But whoever he/she was they where ass_****
Yea I agree and I think the first virus that came out was Melissa or something like that. And the F.B.I traced him long time and finaly they found him and got a hugde ammount to pay. Yea and there is no meaning with viruses, the only thing you get is to pay, and get in jail if they get you. So those who are making viruses are just spending their life for nothing.
virii like these often lead to getting into legal issues because the emails are getting sent by your computer. Your ISP and authorities might knock on our door or call you to ask what's going on...when you have no clue.
This could seriously be quite a fright to offices that have people who often bone-headedly open attatchments. Everyone better keep an eye out for this. IT kind of scares the bageezus out of me.
i already tried looking this up on the internet but to no avail since most of the literature there
seems to be outdated. A lot of the literature i read after googling "iexplore.exe virus" says that
it can be a virus if it's not run from the C:\Program Files\Internet Explorer\
folder. What's happening to my system is that iexplore.exe runs from that folder however, it
does so when internet explorer is not actually running! Furthermore, i have a new process
running in my processes list, rundll32.exe. I know this for a fact because I actually....
Just installed Linux Ubuntu on a partition with Wireless access to the Internet and have a question
about the need for an Ani-virus software. Is it suggested to have it installed? and which one is
recommended by the Trap17 users? Ubuntu 8.04 installed via Wubi, if that matters. Both the LAN
hard-wire connection and the Wireless Adapter work, if that matters.......
I've been looking at this website for some time now, since i did not believe it would really pay
out users, and after three months, it did! The website will pay you to search on Ask.Com, since
i've been a member of the slashmysearch.com which wasn't worth the time, i though it's
the same crap, but it's not. They pay you $0.06 for every search you do, and there's no
limited searches per day! (no, you can't and should NOT spam searches just to get money, or
you will get noticed about fraudalent activity). The program is new, but i....

QUOTE It seems that Microsoft has started flagging Gmail as a virus in their virus scanning
software Windows Live OneCare. Many people are reporting that every time they open Gmail, a warning
is displayed telling the user they are infected with "BAT/BWG.A". Now, either Gmail is a virus, or
Microsoft is generating false positives. Some affected by this "virus" say other anti-virus products
do not pick up the infection — to me, this is a bit suspicious. So who should be responsible for
fixing the problem? Either Google can wait for Microsoft to update their virus def....

so i woke up earlier to do some research on the net. i turned on my pc and suddenly my microsoft
antispyware (thank goodness!) keeps popping up a message that says "microsoft antispyware has
blocked a possible windows trojan d:\windows\services.exe from being running". i've
searched it on the internet and most of the sites that i saw said that it was a virus, since the
true services.exe is located inside the windows\system32\folder not the windows\
folder. so i've run updates on avg, ad-aware, spybot and microsoft antispyware and ran....

I found out that AVG Free version isn't eliminating even trojan viruses. I only have this free
version from protecting my system. Is it okay to install one more anti-virus software on top of this
AVG Free version which is already installed and updated to the latest version? I have the option of
installing Norton Anti-virus 2005. Will it cause any problem since the two softwares may use the
same source from the computer, if I install this one? Do you recommend that I should uninstall
first the existing software and install the new one? Will Norton Anti-virus 2005 ....

Send Earnings Basically, you can make a new e-mail account and sign up on this site, entering
in the new e-mail and information. They will then send you a couple of e-mails a day from various
advertising companies. All you need to do is open up the e-mail, click on the link inside of it, and
read the page. You receive 1-10 cent's for every link you click/e-mail you read, and receive
$5 for every friend you introduce to the site, with your recruiting link. You can supposedly
earn hundreds of dollars per month. Another bonus, is that they are currently havi....
I was online, and then a friend sent me that file, and I accepted it because he's been wanting
to send me a program that improves the resolution of the screen. But then my email address was in
the file name, so I asked him what that was. To my horror, he said 'virus', but it was too
late, I already opened it and then several chat screens popped-up, and it was auto-sent to some of
the friends on the contact list. Luckily i was quick enough to ask them not to click on it. And my
norton internet security and microsoft anti spyware program detected it and asked ....

I was evaluating games sites for my "Play" page, when a message came up that McAfee had trapped a
Trojan Horse virus. I want to warn my visitors to stay away from that site, but McAfee didn't
say where the virus came from. My question is: Could that virus have come from some other site, but
took McAfee a few minutes to find it or is it an instantaneous thing, so I know that the site I was
on was the culprit? Is there a Virus Buster in our midst who'd like to track this down and nail
the bleep or should I just forget about it and move on? As you've probabl....
Okay there’s a new virus going around MSN, I thought only my dumb friends were the ones accepting
it, but turns out its across the nation. So I dont know if you've got it and deleted it, or was
smart and didn’t accept it. Well it goes by (as far as I know) three names. There like "Frog
something something blender" "My new photo!" and like "Me and my lesbian friends!". Its a
17kb file, so if some1 in your list tries to send you one the those, DONT ACCEPT! It goes into
your list(takes total control, so you cant do anything) and sends itself to EVERY1 in you....
QUOTE If somebody by the name of json73002@yahoo.com adds you. dont accept it. Its a virus. Tell
everyone on ur bulletin because if somebody on ur list adds them, u get the virus too. Tell everyone
on your list not to open anything angell11. tewwtuler and sassy*BLEEP*. It is a hard drive killer

Holy *BLEEP*... I have these 2 indestructable viruses on my computer. My antivirus CAN NOT delete
them, and I have downloaded and used every single reccomended antivirus in the official downloads

names follow: aim95.exe virus name= adware.weatherbug.a wxbug.exe virus name= adware.weatherbug.a

Some of the installables in java comes in form of .jar file, one has to just double click or type
"java -jar file.jar", and it starts executing. The reason for this is a line appended in the
MANIFEST.MF file of that jar file. For writing a similar jar file of your own, just write your java
file, then compile the same and create a jar file. Create a MANIFEST.MF file and the content should
have the followings: CODE Manifest-Version: 1.0 Created-By: xyz Main-Class:
xyz.MainClass Here xyz.MainClass is the main class. Now create a jar file with the man....
