The reason your getting the install error is because your installing a mod that is not the same version as your forums. Try looking for the SMF shop that is version 1.1. I just looked and it doenst look like there is a SMF Shop version 1.1..... only in v3 which is for SMF Forums v1.0 RC3.

2.3 will not work also. YOU NEED VERSION 1 because your Forums are version 1.0

This is the only advice you know? Ok i managed to fix this error but now i have another message. QUOTE Fatal error: require() [function.require]: Failed opening required '/www/***.com/m/u/s/***/htdocs/Packages/temp/./installScript.php' (include_path='.:/usr/share/php') in /www/***.com/m/u/s/***/htdocs/Sources/Packages.php on line 549 p.s. grenade, this smfshop only works on 1.1RC3 and higher SMF version.

 don't start an argument now. I would think Grenade is right, because the modification will try to alter templates etc. and with a new version of the Forum software, the templates will get altered, also if you are using other modifications, this may collide. I don't know, just a suggestion.

I was trying to give some helpful advice. If you don't accept that advice I am fine with that, I am only trying to help. :S QUOTE Fatal error: require() [function.require]: Failed opening required '/www/***.com/m/u/s/***/htdocs/Packages/temp/./installScript.php' (include_path='.:/usr/share/php') in /www/***.com/m/u/s/***/htdocs/Sources/Packages.php on line 549 I think this is because of the installation error. Why don't you try asking for help on the SMF forums? If they have one. Just an idea.

Just a while ago Daniel from DanSoft australia was on trap17 to explain the problem to MusicOnly. I'm quoting him 'couse he was unable to post in this forum couse it's for hosted members only.. QUOTE(Daniel15) Anyways, a summary of what I was going to post is:
1) SMFShop 3.0 only works on SMF 1.1 RC2 and higher (including SMF 1.1.1);
2) There is NOT a SMF 3;
3) Version 1 of SMFShop was released in 2005, and is not reallly compatible with any new versions of SMF. For your problem, make sure the Packages directory is CHMODded to 0777 for any help on SMFshop visit Daniel15.com@music, i hope this helped

Ok, we won't help you. And let some SMF pro help you out. Even though we tried for you, you don't accept it. He/Me didn't make our selfs look 'noobish' so unless you can quote one piece of text that makes us look like one, I think you should stop making allegations against us.

Hi, I am thinking seriously into move to paid hosting. I am already almost one year with Trap17 and
until now it has satisfied my needs perfectly. But lately i am using application frameworks (such as
Cocoon, Jena, Struts..) to develop my Web application. I am looking for a paid hosting that offer me
the possibility of running that frameworks within their servers. I have never hired paid hosting and
i will be really thankful if anyone can point me to a reliable hosting site which include that
functionality. Thanks in advanced!! ...
