Smf Shop Installation Problem - cant install smfshop 3

MusicOnly
Hello! I am trying to install SMF shop on my SMF and i cant do that. I am using smf 1.1.1 and SMFshop 3.
My theme is Musiconica and my board url is www.musiconly.quotaless.com

I know how to approach the installation through my admin panel(packages and others) but when i try to install it i get this parse errors.

Does anyone know how to fix this? i would be very thankful!

The reason your getting the install error is because your installing a mod that is not the same version as your forums. Try looking for the SMF shop that is version 1.1. I just looked and it doenst look like there is a SMF Shop version 1.1..... only in v3 which is for SMF Forums v1.0 RC3.

I tried with SMF shop 2.3 and still doesnt work. Any other suggestions?

Grenade
2.3 will not work also. YOU NEED VERSION 1 because your Forums are version 1.0

listen i dont know if you are screwing around with me or you dont know the hell what you are talking about. look the version 1 wont work because i have the latest forum. do you understand?? version 1 smfshop was released maybe half year ago and this is new forum which isnt compatibile with old versions.

p.s. grenade, this smfshop only works on 1.1RC3 and higher SMF version.

ohmy.gif don't start an argument now. I would think Grenade is right, because the modification will try to alter templates etc. and with a new version of the Forum software, the templates will get altered, also if you are using other modifications, this may collide. I don't know, just a suggestion.

This isnt argument! I am just saying if you dont know what you are talking about then dont reply to this post.

I was trying to give some helpful advice. If you don't accept that advice I am fine with that, I am only trying to help. :S

I think this is because of the installation error. Why don't you try asking for help on the SMF forums? If they have one. Just an idea.

Anyways, a summary of what I was going to post is:

1) SMFShop 3.0 only works on SMF 1.1 RC2 and higher (including SMF 1.1.1);

2) There is NOT a SMF 3;

3) Version 1 of SMFShop was released in 2005, and is not reallly compatible with any new versions of SMF. For your problem, make sure the Packages directory is CHMODded to 0777

Ok, we won't help you. And let some SMF pro help you out. Even though we tried for you, you don't accept it. He/Me didn't make our selfs look 'noobish' so unless you can quote one piece of text that makes us look like one, I think you should stop making allegations against us.
