I was wondering how I can find the numerical IP address of my site.
I have my site hosted at Trap 17, but instead of a subdomain i use my own (parked) domain name.
Can anyone tell me how I can find the address of my web site in the shape of 81.200.30.55 (this is just a random example) instead of in the shape of http://www.vlaanderen-flanders.org.uk?

If you followed the recent Nameserver change for the Trap17 Hosted accounts, you recently (should have) altered you Nameserver information to be as per below: NS.COMPUTINGHOST.COM => 67.19.253.52 NS2.COMPUTINGHOST.COM => 64.69.35.177 Possible that this would be the correct IP Address?

Yes, Jim, I DID update my DNS servers. However, (I just found that out), through doing a 'whois' on my domain name, I came to the result of '64.69.46.210' being my IP address. Is that possible?

Yes, it is possible. Trap17 Hosted Accounts are on a different Server than the actual Name Servers used. "Gamma" Server contains the T17 accounts and the Name Servers are on Alpha...

64.69.46.210 is the IP address of the server your website is hosted on. If you tap that IP into your browser, you will see a default page about the software running on the server. To access your site using that IP address, you'd need to use the following as an address: http://64.69.46.210/~mrdee/

Hei, yes, interesting. The reason I am asking is because I want to start an internet radio broadcast on my site. However, I would be using my PC as the server for the broadcasts, and the IP that I get from my ISP is a dynamic one (ie. it changes every day or so). Since I have to send listeners to the broadcast by clicking a link which contains an IP address, I would probably have to change that link all the time then. That is the reason why I was looking for a way to send them to a place with a static IP address.

Directory Restricted?
I can't edit one of my site's directories (7) My website is split into two directories: "site", which is my main site's content, and "forum",

Trap17 Ftp Settings
There is a mistake in the trap17 FTP server address (3) After you are approved for free host account you must activate by going to a link sent in an email.
On the confirmation page that appears after the activation script is finished you will see all sorts
of data including your web URL and how to access control panel etc. .. At the bottom of the page for
those who would rather configure an FTP program like Dreamweaver or CuteFTP you will see the FTP

Need Help Installing Smf
It's not finding the files I upload. (5) I downloaded the zip version of the SMF, from www.simplemachines.org I am using SmartFTP, to upload
the files. I created a folder, named Forum, and uploaded all the SMF files there. On the
simplemachines site, it tells me to type my site url followed by /forum/install.php, or whatever the
directory I installed it on is called. I tried that, and I come up with this on the page. Not

Ftp Double-click Caution
...with multiple sites - be careful with the double-clicking (5) I just want to put out a little caution for everybody. Be very careful when using most FTP transfer
programs. If you double-click on any file (either local, or remote) it usually transfers that file
across to the other side. Be especially careful if you have set up the default to overwrite. I

Cpanel Last Access Address
(7) I logged into my cpanel today and in the part near the top of the page it said that the last address
to login to my cpanel was 127.0.0.1 I was wondering what that's about? By my thinking that
would mean that someone on the serverside had logged into my cpanel, and I was wondering why that

Finding Mysql Database Password?
please help (6) hi, I have installed Coppermine Gallery using fantastico. I want to bridge it with mambo. and for
that configuration, I need the password for the database Coppermine uses. Can anyone tell me how
to find out the database password in this case? I tried the coppermine admin panel but could not
find it there. Does anyone know which config file does coppermine use to store database password. I
can create another user with the same permissions and use it but there must be a way to determine

Operation Timed Out When Logging In

Way To Have 'two' Sites?
