As I already mentioned in the other topic, OpaQue has resolved one of the two reasons I am still
hosted, but he has yet to address the second. I would love it if non-hosted members are able to
award credits. Now I understand why it is disabled, because they gain credits faster than hosted
members, but you could put some kind of conversion tax on it so it balances out. I wouldn't
mind. I just feel like I'm wasting a credit a day on nothing. The only reason I still have my

OK its come to me that since people apply for hosting sights and are getting it without any problem,
so there is some BW and webspace not used by anyone atm. Why not give active members possibility to
get more BW and space? and by active i mean very active. Lets say i have a 30 credit pack. Upkeeping
that pack costs me 1 credit per day (30 per month) I can apply for another 30credit pack, but it
would cost me 60 credit and cost me another 1 credit per day (30 for this one and 30 for the

I tried searching for this topic but the results were too vast in number to be able to go through,
so I hope someone could clear my question. Trap17 mention quality over quantity and more credits
will be awarded to the amount of quality there is in a post. However how does Trap17 define quality
in this sense? Do they have a mechanism whereby they analyse each post and then assign credits to

Hi everyone, As from the forum details/rules/news etc, it is clear that the revenue comes from the
advertisers, opening the forum and even clicking (without posting anything)can do the job. In my
opinion credits should be awarded for Opening Page and browsing. And ofcourse QUALITY POSTING.
This way no body will be tempted to post unnecessarytopic/spam etc. Admin, please correct me if I

It would be very much helpful if we can make a detailed documentation/user guide for Trap17. That
should include: 1-Logging in, posting, getting approval for hosting. 2-Setting up account 3-How to
use the cpanel etc. In my opinion, that should be an all-in-one document which can give answer to
all of our queries. And that would contain screen-shots wherever possible.(I have phpbb used guide
in my mind while writing this). I believe everybody will be interested to keep a copy printed for
referrence. If the Mod/Admin says, we, users can initiate the work....

I've always noticed that you could only view your credits by going to the home page of the
forum, but didn't really think of having it anywhere else until now. My idea is to put the
little hosting credits box on every page (maybe a slightly minimixed version of it, without all of
the "if you aren't hosted..." info), so that we can save a pageload everytime we want to check
how many credits we have....

I sometimes see trap17 members complaining about spending hours a day in an attempt to sustain
hosting credits. This is especially true in the reviews. It really isn't that hard. Here's
my advice on doing so efficiently. 1. The number of posts you make at trap17 doesn't determine
how many credits you receive. The staff even announced it, and it should be quite obvious, really.
Credits are determined by the content and quality of your posts. Make longer ones, I guess. 2. So
how do I sustain a nifty amount of credits? First, set a time you can post at trap17 ...

I think you should give us more credits on our post. The reason is I find it very difficult to com
eon here every single day and think of something new to post. Its really hard and a long procress
since you don't get credits in the forums that are easy to think of stuff to post. You have to
post a paragraph atleast just to get one credit which seems not good enough. If I want to post
something how is it possible to think of a few paraghraphs just so I can keep my hosting service?I

I have one suggestion, to put that robots.txt on this site and ban forum for requesting hosting here
on trap17. Becouse that gave away usefull informations for hackers, so they can use them agains
owner of certant domain... In that request hosting forum there is nothing usefull for web search
engines... but there is for hackers and script kiddies... So tell me is that posible to do ?

and secondly, I don't think it's possable but what if I could then transfer credits from one
to the other, perhapse if the admin wishes with a tax rate (exchange rate)...

I say you should create an online store with which you can sell say, top level domains for like,
2000 points or something, get rid of ads for 3500 points, something like that. I bet lots of people
would join this program... and smaller credit things, like a small increase in disk space, or an
extra MySQL database or another subdomain... Something of that sort. Just a suggestion, and
i'm pretty sure somebody else has probably already posted something to this effect. Just wanted
to see if any moderators or higher level staff here would be interested in this kind of...

Hi. LAtely, with all my c/w I've been doing, I've forgot to keep an eye on my
credits. Came on just now and they were at 0.33 days. I just had an idea. Could you have some kind
of auto-email if they get dangerously low. You know, not to high we're always bugged by them but

I think the Fading info box which have some important announcements and information is too slow .
It fades out and fades in too slowly. I lose patience to read it because I have to wait longer for

/> It's purpose is to get people to look at it and see the announcements (and some ads),
right? But I don't think it's working....

I suggest that you make it possible for people to buy credits. The credits should be cheaper than
actual paid hosting. I think this is a good idea becuase users can post their way to getting 10
credits, but to keep their hosting they can buy, say, 100 credits. Then 100 days later they can buy
another 100. I think this will really lead to the success of this forum. Hope I helped....

hi friends, I just got a suggestion to make. Admins, just see whether it would help? Since there
are some topics which are made just for the sake of it and not of high interest. What I suggest is
that the topic starter can be given additional credits if he/she starts a topic which if of interest
to more members. This can be judged from the number of replies that are generated or by the number
of topic views. It can be set that for every 10 replies the topic owner gets certain credit points.
or may be for every 20/50 views that the topic generates, the member can be aw...

im suggesting that there should be a limit that your credits can go into the negatives. a while ago
i was really busy with school, sports, and everyday stuff. during this time, i did not have much
time to get online and i stopped going to this site for awhile. now i am back and want to get my
site back up so i can try some things. the thing is, my credits are way below zero. currently im at
-31 hosting credits. and you need 5 credits to get your site back up (i think its 5, not sure). i
was thinking that it might be an okay idea if you put a limit to how far your credits...

I never logout of my account and so everytime i go to the site i have to make sure that i'm on
the right page to see how many credits i have. Wish it would show up when i clicked on the assitant

Hi Everyone. I have a suggestion which quite possibly have been suggested before. My suggestion is
to have an e-mail reminder sent out to users who's hosting credits are below, lets say, 4
points. that way, users who can not return to the forums frequently could still be aware of their
credit status and avoid account suspension, it will also help bring back members to the forums to
post. Another option, which sounds best to me but might be harder to acheive, is to create a small
application that sits in your task bar and displays your current hosting credits, each...

My name is Darker333 and this is my first Suggestion post! Well, if you want to ENSURE
activity, then my suggestion is to really set up a meter that says how many credits you need to
avoid a certain day period before your account expires. Now, let's look at this: Current after

Ok My idea is to make quizs and if you pass it you get 10-20 cridets depeding on your score. I
really think this would work because i like it on other sites and it's easyer for members to

Since everyone is worrying about their credits and about being away for more days than the credits
they have, i suggest having a mod where a member could donate some of his/her credit to another
member. sort of Cash Mod. The donor could ask in return some favors, like doing some scripts for
him, an animated graphics perhaps, and even reputations. what do you think about that?...
