Im looking for a decent, free shoutbox to put on my SMF.
I found one made for SMF but its auto-scroll thingy is irritating. I found one free service with google but it's so narrow and doesnt support special charters...
Then I realised there is a perfect shoutbox in trap17 forums! Is that just a code? Can I use it? Can I, can I?!

you should look for a shoutbox module suitable for your CMS (ie, one designed for SMF). the shoutbox used here in trap17 is a shoutbox module for Invision Power Board (IPB). unless of course if you want to use IPB instead of SMF.
well, If I am not wrong this shoutbox was made by D-scripting (just google it). So, you can get in touch with D-scripting site owner and ask if they are providing the SMF version of this shoutbox or not.
As far as SMF's shoutbox is concerned, you can go through various mods which they are providing on their site or in the forum
Ok, I had this problem too, well its not a problem, but you need to log on as admin in your forum and go to admin panel and go to install packages or something like that, than you got to find a link to install new packages or someting along those lines. Tan its just a simple search for Shoutbox. By memory there are like 4!
There are two shoutbox mods for SMF that I know of, Ultimate Shoutbox, and SMF Shoutbox. From what I've seen the sMF Shoutbox mod has more features, but I never got it to install. If the auto-scroll thing in Ultimate Shoutbox is annoying, go to Features and Options (Edit Features and Options in 1.0.x), and find the settings for Shoutbox; uncheck Enable Scrolling. That will keep things still. Hope this helped; if you need more help, drop me a PM - I'm pretty good with SMF.

Hi guys, this is bugging me now! Whenever i post in the shoutbox at first it displays the
right time, presumably while it saves to the DB and refreshes as the smilies dont come up straight
away either, then it seems to add about 30 minutes to the time! I have my forum time settings
set correctly and obviously it goes into the shoutbox script correctly but the script or DB must
somehowe alter it to make it half hour or so later? Any ideas? EDIT: It adds exactly 39 minutes to
my time stamp for some reason....

On monday I experienced something that I haven't in a long time. Good customer service. I work
in the line of customer service, and I have come to the conclusion, there are different levels you
can provide. True customer service is hardly ever given anymore. For example, I ordered from
McDonalds recently and I ordered a McFlurry and a Sundae. I was given a McFlurry and a Shake. It was
at the start of a minor busy period (3 or 4 people were behind me waiting to order), so I waited

I work in customer service, taking orders over the phone and such. I Really don't understand
why people are rude to us, I can't help but think of the old adage, "Don't bite the hand
that feeds you" to me being rude to the guy whos writing down what you order doesn't make sense.
For example (I work with pizzas) oops, it was hot sprinkles, not half sauce? oops. I bet that
burned. I can understand people complaining for a genuine reason, something wrong with the pizza

Okay The other day the new jersey office of the Nations Weather Service put out a servere thunder

Well it seems Google is going ahead with service even though the huge security risks that are
involved in this program. Of course, they are well aware of the problems that come with this, but
even if they got military grade security on their servers, there is far to much risk having your
medical records floating around on the internet. However, its not like they have been circulating on
the net for years through computer databases and what not, and that really surprises me that
hospitals haven't been attack or if they have, they been keeping it hush hush for years. ....

Hi, I heard about ouija board when i was in seventh standard. I tried it so many times from that

I went with gmail when the hype began. Nice inbox size, and it's brilliant if all you want is a
good email service. However, I switched back to hotmail simply because of it's MSN
compatibility. MSN is still the best instant messenger, IMO. Highly doubt I'll be using whatever
gmail is gonna come up with. MSN has climbed so high above the other clients that I believe it

OK, so far I have tried now.nu and da.ru but both sign-ups failed, hence rendering the subdomain I
wanted invalid forever and ever and ever and ever. Why I don't want to try .co.nr is because

you are a customer for a long time with them you always get a bunch of stuff cheaper than other
people and you also have to make them see that u want it cheaper or in some cases free lol i had to
