I have tryed opening a ticket for this but got no responce. I have also been waiting 40mins at the live help desk, again with no responce. (it does say-- Please wait, an operator will be with you shortly. -- but how long is shortly?).
Anyway, as I asked in the support ticket...
Hi, can you tell me if there is something wrong with your servers. my site went down last night and it is still down now. my domain name is: clickit-hosting.com
I also have so addon domains on this web space:
www.sew-what.els.co.uk which is also down, and I cannot access the web space Cpanel either.
your help would be much appreciated.

clickit-hosting.com appears to be in maintenance mode. it is what it says in there when i checked...
and since it came to be that i was able to read the maintenance notice, then the servers are up, it's just that there is maintenance ongoing -- but not on the server/hosting side, but from the administrator (which i assume is you). was it you who made the maintenance notice or someone from your team (if applicable)?
as for your supposed "addon domain", it does not appear to be a top-level domain, and it appears to be a subdomain from another domain (which is hosted on another service, and not computinghost.com). before you can manage addon domains, you have to have the rights and/or ownership of the domain you want to serve on computinghost servers. and top-level domains at that.
as for your support ticket, it's good that you have queued up your problem into the system. computinghost staff will be able to reply back to it, sooner or later. this forum reply from me is just support coming from trap17.com forum moderators (who have no direct involvement with computinghost day-to-day issues). we're just here to give you a rough view of what may or may not be a problem, and give you an assessment to resolve it if possible. you would still have to wait an "official reply" from computinghost staff for this, since you already have a support ticket in line. the availability of live support on the other hand will depend largely in timezones you are in, and if they coincide with the timezones from which live support will come from. support follow the natural course of time from which they are based of course.

Yes, there is a maintenance notice which I put there, but when I enter www.clickit-hosting.com into IE or FF I get a message like 'The server at www.clickit-hosting.com is taking too long to respond.' (from FF).
Also I cannot get to the Cpanel for this web space.
And...

This "Addon Domain" was created throught the above mentioned Cpanel via the "Addon Domain" feature. The Domain Name is registard somewhere else but the name servers are correctly pointing to computinghosts name servers. I own the Domain Name and I'm fully up to date with all payments for the hosting space.
Also, this domain (www.sew-what-els.co.uk) has been working perfectly for the past few months until yesturday when all links to my hosted web space stopped working. (www.clickit-hosting.com, www.sew-what-els.co.uk and http://216.240.154.188/cpanel)

I can get onto the website with no problems. I see a light yellow page with dark blue text explaining the site is down for maintenance. I assume this is the page you put there. This means that it is very unlikely the problem is with the server, but more likely that the problem lies with your computer or your ISP.

I can get the cPanel login box to appear at www.clickit-hosting.com/cpanel/ but obviously I cannot try logging in as I don't have your password.

When you get a response from the support desk, see what they have to say. In the meantime, contact your ISP and ask them if they are blocking or limiting the connection, and if so, why.
This means that it is very unlikely the problem is with the server, but more likely that the problem lies with your computer or your ISP.
Thanks for that.
When you suggested the above, I tryed using a wireless connection (thanks to my neigbours unsecure network ) and managed to access all urls successfully. I then double checked via annonymous proxy, again with successful access.
As it turns out, the hosting server had blocked my ip due to a problem with my ftp password
Still... everythings all ok again now.
Thanks again, and thanks to the support team for quickly rectifying the problem once we figured out what it was
Ah I had a very similar problem here with my friend. Those firewalls do make it more secure, but they are many times annoying when it is a legitimate mistake.
I bought a hosting account with computing host a couple of days ago and uploaded my completed clan
website. It was working fine until now, the site won't load in neither firefox nor internet
explorer. cpanel also won't load. i was wondering if there was a problem with my account or if
the servers are down or something.....
I know i've been bugging you guys a lot lately (sorry) but I have a really small question this

hi first. This is my complain: I used to be hosted by Trap17 long ago. Then, due to the traffic my
site started generating, decided to take one of your paid packages (3S), which I hadn't had any
kind of problem (or maybe it seem like). But then I didn't realize how much downtime you guys
have in your Gamma servers until lots of people started complaining about it, then I've had to
see it myself. I have a friend with similar plan, but you hosted her site in your Theta Server, and
her site is quite OK always. Its never been down since she got the package, and....
hey, I'm making a PHP script that generates an image with random text in it (to prevent
spambots), and I need a TTF font to use it, but I'm not sure which ones are on the server.
here's the code I need it for if it helps, I'm a linux guy but don't know much about
where it looks for it: CODE <?php $font = ".ttf"; // This is the font I need
$font_size = 10; $angle = 0; $box = imagettfbbox($font_size, $angle,
$font, $_SESSION['rand_code']); $x = (int)($....
I have a windows based account and would like to know how to upload my database to the server.
Where do I find the path where the databases reside? Also, is there any documentation that is
available? Thanks.....

Hi, A little question, I need to access to my mysql computinghost.com serveur from another server
form some little update. I found the option 'Mysql/Access Hosts' in the cpanel and I put
the other server ip. But wich server name I have to put to access to my computinghost.com/localhost
? I've tried the ip and the adress from my website hosted on computinghost.com, I suppose there
is a spécific adress. I tried too to find this adress myself in the forum, but I failed.
Thank's for you help. Js.....
I uploaded a script as a free member and saw it worked so I decided to buy hosting. Then I uploaded
the script as a paid member and it didn't work. The main thing I noticed is that the free member
server's name is gamma and the paid one is delta. I am mostly worried because if I can't
get my script to work, I can't keep staying hosted here. Is there any way that I can be a paid
member and have my script still hosted on the gamma server? Delta's driving me nuts.
