| | I remeber the good old days with NES and SNES and N64. last summer I got my hands on a NES and a SNES but i was only able to find games at one store in a town I was visiting 6 hours away from where i live. needless to say, i bought the good games i could afford, but it leaves my normal longing for some 8 bit fun unsatisfied. then last weekend i walked into a replay ( a store that sells old movies and games) and they had N64 games and games for SNES and NES. it was awesome. I still am looking for a N64 for myself, and I almost picked up 007 goldeneye for the 64. I used to love playing that game on dorm with my friends. we would have hour long marathons where we would just switch off playing. anyone know of any other really good games that i should get for the NES or SNES? i already have mario brothers 1-3 and gauntlet 1 and 2 for NES. I also plan to get contra as soon as i find them. |

I have snes. I love super mario world. Also, NHL '94 is very good. My friend and I would play that for hours. My brother and I play super mario world for hours when he is here. For some reason I seem to find old games better than most newer ones [even old powerangers was pretty good!] LOL.

Let's see....Um, Chrono Trigger (Snes), any Megaman game (Nes and Snes....dunno about N64), any Legend of Zelda game, any Mario game, any Donkey Kong game (Seriously, the Snes ones had sweet graphics and were sorta ahead of their time), Super Smash Brothers (N64), any Power Rangers game for Snes (gotta agree with Nick, they were pretty good. I had fun with the one I had....it was probably one of the first games I beat.), maybe get a couple old Final Fantasy games...can never go wrong with them...., Wario's Woods for Snes....I am a god at this game....I loved it....basically a mix of bomber man and tetris....., Mario Tennis for N64, and um.....Mario Kart (Snes or N64)....good times shootin people with shells.

Woo. I love all the old-school/classic Final Fantasy games (provided they aren't SUPER old like the original FF on the NES). I have a funny feeling that as the newer games getting released every year are slowly becoming more and more easy... And sometimes shorter. Compare play time between Final Fantasy VI on SNES and Final Fantasy X on the PS2. Final Fantasy X seems very easy and short compared to Final Fantasy VI (even though it's still a fantastic game). Oh well, time will tell...

Those were the good ole days of gaming when you had to complete the game in one sitting and couldn't save it . I still get a emulator and play from time to time, but one would wonder what these games would be like if they got a 21st century upgrade.

The Glory Days Of Snes
- Can't quite describe it... (9)
Now, this is just personal opinion... See, i recently found my old SNES and the decent library of
SNES games one day. I decided to plug it in, and try them out for old times sake. It really made me
realize how much i miss those old games like Super Mario World (which i had for GBA), Dragon View,
Double Dragon, Donkey Kong, Kirby, Mortal Kombat, and others. See, its just something about the SNES
that still exists. Even though we have all these far move advanced consoles out now, along with
really amazing games, i have to admit i do miss the simple 16-bit graphics, sort o...

The Simple Times Of Gaming.

The good 'ol days of gaming when games were simple like sega genesis, Nes, and etc. This thread
is basically about your best moments from the olden days of gaming, so tell me... what are they. Me,
well... my best moment from the olden days of gaming was when I got my Super Nes and got over 30
games, I was 7 years old at the time, and had a blast. But alas, times have changed and now i'm
selling my Super Nes. Another moment for me was when I got to the last level in Super mario 3 in
Mario allstars for Super Nes... I used the whistles to get there though lol. Now a...

Well i would have to say that i believe the main battle is of course the playstion verse xbox as the
two main competitors i think nintendo has gone downhill ever since gamecube and playstation 3 now
has a built in memory making it more like xbox and the graphics rock but also there are some key
games i like to some f the consoles for example Halo is a xbox only game, metal gear solid is a
playstation only game and i think not sure about this one but i think super smash brothers is a
nintendo only game so i think i like playstation better than xbox and definately better t...

Ive Been Revolutionized About Gaming
- Revolution has awaken my inner gamer (4)
I was just surfing until I accidentaly happened to see some more nintendo revolution and I decided
to investigate about it. I was totally impressed, I read a lot of the details (controller, backwards
compatability, wifi, etc.) and I bet that there is still some more to come. Seriously, I thought I
had matured and that I wouldnt like games anymore after the xbox got a bit boring about a year ago.
I wasnt even excited about the xbox 360 release, I was really careless about the new consoles and
video games, and now that I read about the revolution, its like if the inner gam...

A Buyer's Guide To Portable Gaming
- (0)
The balance of power in the handheld game market experienced a significant upset two years ago when
Sony used their press conference at E3 2003 to announce the development of the Playstation Portable.
At the time, Nintendo held utter dominance of the portable game market with over 90% market share
thanks to the Gameboy, and now, the Nintendo DS. Just by the very announcement, though, Sony kicked
the gaming media into overdrive. In the hallway outside of Sony’s studios, where the press
conference was held, you could hear comments like, “It’s going to be great,” and, “Way...

Favorite Gaming Console
- (8)
My favorite console is Xbox. Most people say that their favorite system is the system(s) they have.
That is because they don't want the person they are talking to to make fun of them. Well, I am
one of those people. I have played both GC and PS2. I like PS2 better than GC partially because of
the games and graphics. GC has more "kid" games. PS2 has more violent and racing games. I like the
Xbox games better than PS2 and GC games. That's why I like Xbox the most. After you vote in the
poll, please make a post saying what you voted for and why you voted for it....
