I will probably write a more detailed reply when I have the time, sorry for the rushed one here... There is no need to go for a pirated versions, especially when you can download the official OS from their website. Please look at their official site for more info. That should get you off to a decent start on what the os is all about. Maybe giving us technical details regarding your system will help. You intend to partition your disk, if I understand right. I've never tried linux with XP before, so I wouldn't know the exact details, although I am sure others here will provide the relevant support. For the moment, hope you enjoyed the website Cheers, and keep us posted!

Yes, asking for a pirated version of linux is a bit like SpongeBob stealing a balloon on national free balloon day. You will need to decide on a distribution however. There are several "live" distributions that let you try out linux by booting and running off of a CD - let's you kick the tires and run around the block without having to touch your hard drive. I've had good luck with knoppix http://www.knoppix.org/ and ubuntu http://www.ubuntulinux.org/Good luck

Maybe it's better if you try first a live distribution of linux as suggested. Knoppix is most known in "live" distribution sector. And of course you have to read and read to learn how to use linux. Then if you'll like it you can try some other distributions, but first you must know what do you want to use linux for. If you don't want to do any serious things in linux, having it just for fun and that it will be easy to use, try Mandriva, which works almost like windows (pratically all things can be made with clicks, just for installing programs and other stuff you'll have to use the konsole). Then when you'll know linux better you can try Gentoo, Debian and others (les work with cliccks, more use of konsole). It seems hard but linux is the best developed operation system existing. And when you said that you never get in contact with linux. That's not true. If you're hosted by Trap17, the server of Trap17 is running on LINUX!!!

Hey, from what I think, Linux distributions are slowly becomes OS that you will need to pay. Look at those Linux Destros with strong support like, Mandriva (formerly known as Madrake Linux), Redhat, Linspire, all becoming paid Linux OS. Of course many distributions are still free and usually have problems and can crash easily or no support on them... But still, Linux is less vulnerable to sercurity threats unlike Windows OS...

Agent-principal Relationships
some info on this important subject (0) In the relationship between an agent and a principal, both parties consent to the agent having the
ability to act on behalf of the principal. This is known as a form of principal-agent relationship
called power of attorney. Such a relationship plays an important role in business, whether it be in
the workplace, a partnership, or a corporation. There are three types of authority in a
principal-agent relationship: express, implied, and apparent authority. Express authority is what
the principal directly tells the agent his duties and responsibilities are. This cannot ....
Help With Linux - Russix

Plants And Water Loss
some info on growing plants in dry conditions (0) Transpiration is a plant’s loss of water, usually through the stomates of leaves. Plants have guard
cells to regulate the water loss. These guard cells open and close the stomates in response to
various environmental conditions; darkness, lack of water within the plant, and extreme temperatures
cause the guard cells to close the stomates while light, plentiful water, and favorable temperatures
cause them to open the stomates. Some stomates must be open even in unfavorable conditions so that
the plant can take in carbon dioxide. Dryland farming is the growing of crops....
Enzymes And Health
Some interesting info on enzymes (0) Enzymes act as catalysts in living organisms which allow important chemical reactions to occur at
lower temperatures. They are not altered in the process and can be used in many reactions. Most of
the chemical reactions that occur in living organisms are regulated by enzymes and would happen much
slower without them. For example, without the digestive enzyme carboxypepdidase, it would take
seven years to digest a hamburger. Ethyl carbamate is a compound found in fermented beverages that
can cause cancer in various organisms. Its precursor is urea, an intermediate du....

Linux Games

stupid (personal opinion), as most otherf MMORPG in which everything I do is killing monsters to get

you want... but besides that it's really nice and you can do a lot of other thing....

here, based on whether people think an operating system is better than Windows 2000 or not, which
I'm going to use as a benchmark (sea-level point) for rating systems. The rating system is on 3

think are more useful than Windows 2000 on the first poll, which ones are more reliable ....

If Mac Osx Is Best With Hardware, Where Does Linux Lie?
(5) Here's a good question: Is Linux better at utilizing hardware efficiently to produce optimal
performance out of your components. I hear a lot about Mac OSX being so much better with Intel
processors and yada yada, but I don't know if this is true or if a bunch of Mac elitists said a
bunch of crap and ran with it. I don't think there are actual comparable benchmarks, but if
there are, where does Linux lie in the hardware efficiency race? (Or is it dependent on which Linux
distribution it is, like how XP still beats Vista in performance?)....
What Made You Switch To Linux?
(32) I first tried Linux a few years ago, not because I was completely against Windows or anything like
that, but just because I had some free time on my hands. I started off with Mandrake 9.0 which was
very user friendly and Windows-like. After reading through a bunch of message boards and learning
which distros are good for what, I soon realized my current distro was great for Linux noobs. So
then I decided to try something a little more advanced like Slackware which I knew had a steep
learning curve. Since then I've been using Slackware as my main OS and couldn't ....
Call Of Duty 4
This is my info about Cod4 (8) My Cod4 Review I picked up COD4 kinda hoping for something not like COD and COD2. Both
previous encounters with the COD franchise were very enjoyable indeed, but the element of a cohesive
storyline was missing. You were bounced between Russian, English, and American campaigns trying to
follow each smaller storyline to the end. Boy was I pleasantly surprised with COD4. Blown away is
more like it. The plot of the game was very well done. The 2 story lines seemed to be going in 2
different directions at first, but later on you can see the 2 slowly merging in t....
Ubuntu Linux As Free Operating System Alternative
linux operating system (46) About three years ago I decided to learn how to use Linux and after a lot of posts on a forum I
tried Ubuntu Linux as it was recommended as a good first Linux distro. Ubuntu is not the easiest
Linux distro to use but with its unmatched forum community support it is one of the easiest to learn
to use. One of the problems with learning Linux is that a lot of users have an attitude that Linux
should be a free Windows knock off which it is not. Ubuntu is build on a Linix core or kernel and is
a different Open Source and free as in to use operating system. This brings us to t....

Dell Tech Support
I just needed a small bit of info (22) Ok, so I got my aunt's old Dell Inspiron 8000 laptop. She also gave me a wireless card with it,
but I had to promise her that I wouldn't connect to the Net until I reinstalled Windows. I
needed to open the BIOS Setup program to change the boot order of the DVD-ROM drive, but I just
couldn't figure out how (even hitting Fn+F1, where F1 is marked setup, didn't work, and I
tried about half a dozen other key combonations, which also failed to work). So this morning I
called Dell, with hopes of getting my problem solved. The crazy lady whose accent I couldn....

What Linux Distro Do You Use ?

Ubuntu Linux (6) Hey. I use Windows mainly, as I use games and graphical programs the most. However, I use Linux a
