MY PICKS FOR THE RUGBY WORLD CUP - 2007
MY PICK TO WIN: Like many people around the world, I believe that New Zealand are the strongest rugby nation. Although they had a surprise lost to the Wallabies, I still believe they are going to take the cake (Win the cup). I also believe South Africa have a very strong line-up, and they may cause a problem for the All Blacks.
SURPRISE PICK: I believe that Australia may be able to stun the world and win the cup. Although they have had extremely poor results in recent years, they are starting to pick up their game. I believe that next Saturday's game against the All Blacks will foreshadow how the Aussies will play throughout the World Cup
EUROPEAN PICK: Out of the European nations, I believe that either France or Ireland have the greatest chance for World Cup glory. France, because they will have the home advantage, and Ireland, because out of the European teams, they have been performing the most consistently throughout their recent matches. I strongly agree that none of the European teams even have a chance though.
CONCLUSION In conclusion, I believe that a Southern Hemisphere team will be crowned champions of the Rugby World.
GO THE WALLABIES!

Pretty much agree, NZ maybe the runaway favourites to win the cup, but as I hadnt been watching the Rugby that much apart from the recent Wallabies upset over the All-blacks. I believe that there are a few nations out there that could be suprise packets. Australia would be one of the suprise packets considering their poor form in recent times untill the last few games as of late. Also in regard to Europe, I'd probably tip either France or Ireland to spring out a few suprises (agreeing with above posters reasons).

Did anyone watch the quarter finals today? I'm a New Zealander, and quite disappointed. The first quarter final was between Australia and England. Now, Australia was at the top of their pool, and didnt lost any matches. While England was second in theirs after losing to South Africa. But today England beat Australia 12-10, knocking Australia out. The second match, four hours later, was between the All Blacks(Thats New Zealand, obviously) and France. Everyone had thought this was going to be a boring one(Even me), the All Blacks had never lost a quarter final before. But the end result was 20-18, to France! New Zealand was knocked out in a quarter final against France. A couple of months before, the All Blacks beat France easily, and France even lost to Argentina in their first game. These were two of the top teams, and were knocked out by teams second place in their pool. I dont think the All Backs want to come back home and face the media... So my pick now would have to be South Africa to win. Fortunately(for them) they will not have to face Australia or New Zealand or the semis or finals. Which i think would be a very different result if it wasnt for these two upsets today. Credit goes to England and France of course.

Seems South Africa has outkicked England to a 15-6 victory. Sadly it was no tries, and mostly decided on a penalty-thon. Far too much kicking rather than smooth running of the ball. Either way, congrats to the South Africans.

Yeah wear an all blacks shirt and go into an aussie pub see what happens . within a few mins some sheep jokes will probably start coming your way and if you happen to object to those comments your probably in for a few fights lol. Too bad we ddint win. I think we lacked a solid strategy against france, They played well against us and come off the better side that day. There was other things too that sucked like that forward pass by france not called and that resulted in a converted try, but thats the way it goes you gotta play the game and try and account for referees calls going against you eventually.

I'm really sorry but this never really happened for England or Australia. Sorry this reply is so late but I had to finish this off. England lost pathetically (in my opinion) to South Africa. I was there. Trust me...

I'd to like if theres anyone in England, NZ, or Australia here that follow the Rugby League. I
mainly watch the NRL (National Rugby League), and have been following the Manly Seaeagles since the
early 90s. It's finals time down here, and since my team has been knocked out. I've still
been watching the other teams. The Brisbane Broncos was the first through to the GF by defeating
Cantebury-Bankstown Bulldogs. The Broncos will be going to play the winner out of St
George-Illawarra Dragons and the Melbourne Storm. Either way, as a neutral supporter (now ...

American and British national anthems, the lights failed to come back on. Players on both teams
skated around, but were soon told to head back into the locker rooms. I had hope that Anaheim will
win but L.A. was really good today and Anaheim just make some actions at the end of...

Just finished (re)seeing the Scotland Portugal match (just getting ready for the match tomorrow)and
I have to admit, watching the Portuguese team sing the national anthem actually got me a bit misty
eyed. I can't remember the last time a portuguese side showed so much pride and self-respect at
being in an international tournament. Great fair play shown by the Scots too. What a contrast with
the portuguese national football team , half of the players probably don't know the words and
the other half just mumbles them. And no sense of heart on the pitch, it's l...

Well Monday night, the 8th was the Home Run Derby in which 8 contestants dueled it out for the title
of Home Run King. Vladimir Guerrero won in the end with 17 home runs total. Alex Rios came in
second behind him. The first round was sort of slow at first but in the second round really heated
up with Rios hitting 12 home runs total. The game was held at AT&T park in San Francisco which is
next to McCovey Cove, named after a former San Francisco Giant, Willie McCovey. There were 300 to
400 kayakers out in the cove is what I heard, all waiting for a home run. Unfortu...

Champions League Finals Milan Vs Liverpool
- Finals - 23 May 2007 at OACA Spyro Louis - Athens (3)
A brief history of Champions League Champions League is most popular football (soccer)
championship in the world. Champions League started in 1995 when first French sports daily
L'Equipe, mentioned that it would be good to make an European championship that would be played
on Wensday's night. At first it wasn't ment to be just a championship for Leauge champions
but only for clubs that would be invited by the term of bringing the most crowd to the game. As
league evolved now it is played by League Champions which based on their UEFA league score tabl...

Okay so the NFL Draft is coming up (April 28th and 29th) and I was wondering who everyone thought
would be the first top ten picks. For those of you who don't know, the Oakland Raiders have the
first pick followed by the Detroit Lions, Cleveland Browns, Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Arizona Cardinals,
Washington Redskins, Minnesota Vikings, Atlanta Falcons, Miami Dolphins, and the Houston Texans. I
figure the top overall pick will be Jemarcus Russel, though there is talk that it will be Calvin
Johnson, I highly doubt it because they already have a great receive in Randy Mo...

I'm gonna go with CUBS vs TWINS I just think that the Cubs had a really really good offseason
and they are gonna dominate the NL Central. If Kerry Wood is back to his old ways this year than
the Cubs will have a good pitching staff. They picked up Soriano and they still have Ramirez, they
have an amazing offense. Now onto the Twins. The Twins have an iffy pitching staff but if they can
pull it together I firmly believe that they can win the AL central. Now if they do in fact make it
to the series I don't see them beating the Cubs. If it's twins vs Cubs i...

Rugby Ref Calls For A Soccer Sin Bin

Top Welsh Referee Nigel Whitehouse has called for Soccer to adopt some of rugbys own refereeing
tactics, including a sin bin and a video referee. Whitehouse told the western mail that "In
football there is so much abuse of referees by the players. Referees are under immense pressure as
it is, but the way players surround and intimidate them is ridiculous." He later said that he
"would be in favour of some sort of sin-binning being introduced, whether it was for five or 10
minutes" and also that he belives "If a player knew he was going to be sin-binned for certain off...

Rugby:england 17 France 18

Hi Any rugby fans here? Wow! What a game! A nail bitter til the end. I thought my beloved
french team was done at the half down 17-6. But no thanks to french kicker Dimitri Yachvili who
scored all 18 points and only missed two far away 50 yarders or so. England scored the only 2 trys
of the game but their kickers just couldn't convert much points. Not even an easy drop in the
final minute which would have given England a 2 points win. I don't think the best team won
today (France), I think the less worse did. England just isn't what it used to be whe...
