| | is it just me, or is the automatic refresh rate in the shoutbox not working?
the other day i left for an hour and a half, and came back and i saw the message i said saying "Bye"... i refreshed the page, and there were two pages of shouts betwen the time i was looking at it and the Bye.... |

I have disabled it. Consider members opening 10 windows simultaneously to answer to topics. They forget to close them later and the shoutbox keeps refreshing in all of them :-)

I, personally, like it disabled. When it was enabled, it would sometimes make my computer lag a bit (i have an old computer  ).

good ideal i guess thats why theres a refresh button there >_< so we can refresh it manuallp =)

hmm, sorry for double posting, but recently the shoutbox was re-installed, and i think that maybe someone forgot to disable to refreshing automaticly? because it is refreshing automaticly again and i just figure that you want to save bandwith still  i dont know though

Ya I noticed that as well but you know I won't complain lol if you changed your mind. Although I sometimes leave a window open if I leave temporarily but I don't open more than one window unless reporting a post because it makes things confusing otherwise.

Lucky you can use the Shoutbox, I was banned from it, well, 1 bandwith waster less.

I was banned from the shoutbox i think about a year ago, yet i am still banned? I was wondering
whether my ban is permanent or even why i was banned, as i do not remember. I'd appreciate it if
someone with moderator or administrative privelages would respond. As i'm not sure who i should
talk to about this matter. Sorry if this is the wrong forum, but the "Support" forum seemed to be

I have installed Dean's shoutbox for my new forum, but I have two things that I can't edit.
Does anyone know how to edit their global shoutbox (shoutbox that show's throughout the entire
forum) so that it shows the time of the shout and the coloration in accordance to member title (such
as if an admin posted, the color of the member would be red)? Thanks......

Ok, I have posted this question over on our gaming site www.ipbgaming.com, but I figured maybe with
more members on this website I could get some quick feedback as to the state of my problem. I have
installed KIM's shoutbox for Invision Power Board version 1.2, and for the most part everthing
is working OK, but I do have some problems and questions. When I post a shout, it redirects me to
the Shoutbox page where I get the error... QUOTE Warning: Cannot modify header information -

When I 'shout' things in the shoutbox, why am I only allowed to shout one every 45 seconds?
When I go to shout a second one (in a row), it says that I have to wait 45 seconds before posting a
new topic. However, I'm not even posting a new topic! I'm shouting in the
shoutbox! Does anybody know why it does that or how I can avoid that problem from happening
again?...

is it just me or somebody has the same problem.. When ever i try to type a message in the shout box
and click shout it takes me to the shoutbox page and my message is gone. When i try to post a long
message and i clicked shout it erased it. I pressed back but there was no message. Thanks, Mario...

I have tried to change my shoutbox settings in options panel in my control but whehever I click on
