um could you be a little more specific as in what was the error/message that you get when you try to delete the redirect or the message that you get from visiting your phpnuke site...

if your index.html page is in folder www or public_html (their the same thing) it is the main page, no redirection is needed but it has to be .html, not .htm and for php you can just make it so that anyone that gets on .html gets redirected to the .php hope this helps and im not too confusing

use the redirection manager and specify the particular pages in your site which you want to redirect. also specify the particular pages you are redirecting them to. i think that will really help you

There were no errors.... when I delete or add a redirect path, it tells me it was deleted or created... but when I go back to redirect manager page, not has changed... I have no idea... should I ask the admin to reset my account back to default then?

actually it is index.html and it still goes to the folder. (http://www.nexdesigns.trap17.com/Index.html) and when i type http://www.nexdesigns.trap17.com/ it just goes to the apache Index of ... folder.

well, i guess the only option will have to be for you to PM admin and tell him to reset your account. that will surely del everything in your account. then you can start afresh

Just a tio, if you have a .whatever that doesn't auto-matically(sp?) make it the default page instead of the directory, like .xxx for me >_>, just add DirectoryIndex index.w/e to your .htaccess file, if there isn't one...make one, but there should be.

File Manager Problems

Alright, I figured out the edit html windows need to be refreshed each time opening them for them to
show the last updates so you don't just work off the old, un-updated version and mess everything
up (which really should get fixed). The problem that most annoys me though is when I try deleting
files and the File Manager doesn't delete them. I try uploading updated files over them and it
doesn't update them, but just keeps the old ones there. It's getting really annoying. And
when I try deleting stuff from the Trash Can, it never deletes it. Sometime...

It was also free. But they had advertisements and I wasn't able to use my own domain name. So

engine rankings with the old URL. How do I do a 301 redirect? Does anybody have a tutorial they
could point me to? Also, part of the problem, the other host did not offer many advanced features
as trap 17. So I don't even know if a 301 redirect will be possible. Than...
