Red Sox Are World Series Champions Once Again

Saint_Michael
Well after a stellar season the Red Sox's have proven once again that they are a elite team and no longer a joke since winning the world series back in 2003 to break the 86 year curse that was placed on them after Babe Ruth was traded to the Yankee's. Interestingly to note that the Red Sox won the world at away games and have swept the series as well. So now that the season is officially over who will the Red Sox's trade off or replace, and of course the big question will be will they repeat?

So congrats to the BoSox's for winning the 2007 World Series.

I'm sure Boston's going to take the day off to celebrate their homecoming. tongue.gif

Imagine the crowds that will be at the airport just to congratulate them and welcome them home!

Its a bummer. I wish Colorado would have come back. They had quite the streak at the end.

Anyways, congrats to the Sox for another awesome year. As for if they will repeat, I don't think so. They were nearly taken out by Cleveland and I doubt they will have as good a team next year. It's also really hard to go back to back.

Now I'm sad that baseball season is over. Have to wait a few more months before it starts again sad.gif

Please note that it was the Florida Marlins who won in 2003 and the Red Sox won it last in 2004. Congratulations to the Red Sox, I was rooting for them, my other teams were out tongue.gif I wouldn't have minded the Rockies winning though seeing as they haven't won one in their short life span yet. It was a lot of fun to watch them throughout the playoffs. They have a really good team, as do the Rockies. I think the Rockies weren't expecting such a strong team as they hadn't played the Red Sox that year and had made it through the early rounds of the playoffs rather easily until their long break and the Red Sox surprised them in my opinion.

The only reason I don't enjoy them winning is because one of my house-mates is a HUMONGOUS fan. Like ridiculously big. He's a huge boston fan and we live in New York. He drives everyone nuts with his sports obsession but anyway, that's besides the point. I"m not a huge baseball fan. I don't care much for it. That's just me. It's nice to see them break the curse in '03, but I could care less who the champs are. If I had to choose I woulda liked to seen the Mets make it.....but that turned sour. So congrats to the Sox.....tho I don't really care

Well good job for them. I was very disappointed to see the Indians not make it. They were up 3-1, and ended up losing it. So that was pretty disappointed, but still they did desevere it the most. As long as the yankees don't win, hey I'm happy.

Yeah, I love the red sox! biggrin.gif

I'm really glad they won.

It seems like they're setting up a dynasty now! They're on their way back to eternal fame! (not that they haven't got a lot already!)

QUOTE 'Red Devils' replace Blues as champions Manchester United regained the English

A brief history of Champions League Champions League is most popular football (soccer)
championship in the world. Champions League started in 1995 when first French sports daily
L'Equipe, mentioned that it would be good to make an European championship that would be played
on Wensday's night. At first it wasn't ment to be just a championship for Leauge champions
but only for clubs that would be invited by the term of bringing the most crowd to the game. As
league evolved now it is played by League Champions which based on their UEFA league score tabl....

I'm gonna go with CUBS vs TWINS I just think that the Cubs had a really really good offseason
and they are gonna dominate the NL Central. If Kerry Wood is back to his old ways this year than
the Cubs will have a good pitching staff. They picked up Soriano and they still have Ramirez, they
have an amazing offense. Now onto the Twins. The Twins have an iffy pitching staff but if they can
pull it together I firmly believe that they can win the AL central. Now if they do in fact make it
to the series I don't see them beating the Cubs. If it's twins vs Cubs i....

As my beloved Liverpool is in the Final tonight, i feel like giving a bit of preview and my thought
about the match... Liverpool vs AC Milan Although they were disappointing in the English League
this season, Liverpool's form in Europe had been a totally different story. Many points to the
fact that we've got a new spanish coach and some new spanish signings which suit european
football better than english football. And by taking Liverpool to their first European's biggest

It's all down to four teams... (6)
Once again i'll have my thought before champions league ties. Now it's down to four teams
and the favourites are... you know it. Milan v PSV Not much to say about this match. Why? Because
while Milan has been cruising through, beating Man UTD and Inter relatively easily, PSV had barely
held on against Lyon at their own turf to survive the penalty shoot-out. Milan is a BIG BIG
favourite here, so the pressure might be on them a bit. And PSV's organised team cannot be
underestimated. However, i can't see PSV getting through really, even if van Bommel turns....

The draw for this year quarter-final have been drawn. My team, Liverpool, faced a tough task in
playing against Juventus from Italy. Juve has been doing very well in the Champions League this
year, coming out top of their group in the group stage and beat Real Madrid in the second round in
an extra time in the second leg. Their defensive record really stood up as they only conceded 3
goals in matches, only one against the Galacticos at Bernabue. We also have to play first leg at
home so not conceding goal at home is a must coz we'll definitely find it difficult to s....

6-5 to tie the series at 2-2. Game 5 is tomorrow Monday in Atlanta. Winner to face either the
dodgers or cardinals in the next round (Cards lead series 2-1 and game 4 is currently in the 2sd
inning and they are tied 1-1). Houston was unbeaten in 19 games at home, congrats Braves! In the
