I am not so sure about this because I haven't gone over my bandwidth before but I believe that your account will be suspended if you go over the amount of bandwidth given and it will be unsuspended at the begining of a new month.

bandwidth resets every start of a new month as plenoptic said.  if your site consumes bandwidth allotment before the end of the month, it gets a "bandwidth exceeded" error which renders your site inaccessible until the time the start of the next month.

These guys beat me to it. But what they said is basically it. But with the bandwidth Trap17 gives you, unless you have a lot of music, videos, or games, you should almost never go over that amount. If you are just using it for purposes such as a blog or research papers and articles, you will stay well within your allotment unless you are getting masses of visitors each month. So don't worry

Nice topic, beacuse I needed to know that too. Hmm It would be bad if you got suspended page instead of bandwith excided page. Then the users would think that the page no longer exists.

Then the users would think that the page no longer exists. Actually, you get the suspended page. I don't think there's a such thing as the bandwidth exceeded page. How would I know? I got that. My site was suspended because it used too much bandwidth (66 GB/5 GB if I'm correct). After a month or so, your site will be accessible again.

mmm... but I think in other hostings there is a "bandwidth exceeded" page or at least it appears nothing (a blank page). Anyway snlil, you must have a lot of visitors because it seems very difficult to me to have my bandwidth site exceeded. Trap17 offers you more than usually free hostings do.

I'm not sure exactly how bandwidth is used up. Can anybody tell us their website name and tell us about how much bandwidth was used up or the maximum ever used. Oh yea and the number of visitors if you can. Since I'm just a beginner, I think this would help me out  . Thank you!

Am I done for this month?? (9) I was earlier on the basic plan at trap17. This month I ran out of bandwith on he 13th of this
month. I then decided to upgrade my account. I filed an application and was approved by the admin.
I went to http://www.trap17.com/process/ as I was told in the email and upgraded my account
successfully. But my site www.angadsodhi.com still shows the message 'Bandwidth Limit
Exceeded'. Won't the upgrade take place this month?? Will I have to wait till Jan?....

Just a Question (5) I read somewhere that it might be possible to purchase more bandwidth. How many hosting credits
would such an upgrade cost me? Right now I don't need it since I upgraded to the 2nd hosting
option with more bandwidth, but while on the first option I used it up completely and just want to

in relation to my "free webhosting bandwidth" problem (0) so here's the thing. i got this really neat application that plays songs from a list of songs.
you can place this application to your website so people can listen to your songs while they are
surfing your site. it's called radio blog. the difference between radio blog and other players
like media player that you can add on your site is that you don't need to upload the entire mp3

Package 2 (150mb w/ 5000mb BW) : 30 Credits But I stopped to think: Are you meaning megabits
(Mb) or megabytes (MB)? Because one megabyte is 8 megabits, it is important to know: Is Package 1
20MB or ~ 2,5Mb and Is Package 2 150MB or ~ 18,75Mb I really hope that it is just typed incorrectly
and you're meaning bytes instead of bits.....

a good idea (atleast at my point of view). For the people that have many credits and contribute more
