| | Ive been to numerous sites where people can click on a link and download a video. Maybe its something very simple but idont know.... If someone could show me how do this using dreamweaver that would be appreciated... also where would i upload the file too... bc its a video, so would it go in just the public folder or in picture or what? plz tell me bc ive been wondering about this for a while, same thing with a music download link, i suppose they are the same

I would think so. To insert them, you have to embed. So...would the default opposite of that be the simple link that you can "download" music? I'm kind of wondering about this too.

I'm not sure i understand the question. A download link is just a link, no embed needed and you can put the files where ever you want on your server(just make sure your link path is correct). Now if you want people to see the video on your site you can Dreamweaver menu Insert /media /plugin after that just link it to you file, works with .mov or .avi hope this helps round.trap17.com

i think i have a solution with your prob.. you can visit this site www.webcodez.com then find the videos that you want... get the codes and embed it to your dreamweaver.. and you will see! im developing a site right now and im using dreamweaver so if you need help, as long as i know ill help you!

yep this is what I just did on my site before and it worked fine, if the original poster just wanted to create a link for the video to be downloaded he just need create a link then point that correctly to the file or maybe he wanted to do what google or youtube does.

Wow i was also wondering, its funny as the way i immagined it to be was so complicated. I thought that you needed to create a special sort of link to a website hosting the file and then add some code and stuff to it. So thanks for suppling me with an answer.

Dreamweaver Cs3: How To Link Content To Layers/apdivs
(5) Hi all! I've been searching the internet like crazy but just can't find any answers to
my problem. I want to make it so that my navigation buttons links content to be loaded inside a

Dreamweaver's a good Webdesigning Studio (22) I recently downloaded Macromedia's Dreamweaver 8, and I can say that it is the greatest
webdesigner that the world has ever seen! The only problem is that it costs too much money in my
tastes, but otherwise it is perfect! Does anyone know of a webdesigning studio that does not
cost any money and that can be downloaded off the internet? I tried using Notepad++ (search Google,
I cannot recall the site) and it is a coder, but not a webdesign. It doesn't actually show you
what the site will end up looking like, but it shows you colour-coded codes for your sit....

Dreamweaver Permissions Issue
Access denied when trying to FTP (5) Okay, so I was trying to FTP these files over dreamweaver today... and it seemed to be working fine.
But then, certain files won't let me transfer from my hard drive to the internet, or the other
way around. It gives me this error message: QUOTE An FTP error occured - cannot put form1.html.
Access denied. The file may not exist, or there could be a permission problem. Anyway, I know
that the file does indeed exist. I've opened it on my hard-drive... and it is there. But it
