Proposal Develop a website that is completely file-hosted by gmail.
Introduction Using free domain names, such as geocities.com, create a basic home page but all necessary files, i.e. jpg, gif, js, swf, must be stored in gmail account. Since the increase in gmail’s storage it would be shame to let all that space wasted on some junk mails. The object to this project is to be the first to utilize abundant space provided freely by google. Furthermore, this gives a chance to look though TRAP17’s past postings to find utilities that are necessary for this task. This project, perhaps, will heighten google’s interest in TRAP17 for your innovative ways to use google’s service, thereby, leveling up TRAP17’s search ranking in google’s pages.
Methodology
Create/obtain a web address that is capable of making at least a single homepage
Search through TRAP17’s previous postings to locate how to access gmail files via HTML access (or any other creative ways)
Search through TRAP17 to obtain ‘free invite to gmail’
The subject of your website can be anything and treat it as if was hosted by TRAP17 (which means abide to TOS for contents)
Be the first to post your homepage to TRAP17 forum
Reference You may use post such as mine (shameless plug) to complete your task. You are, however, not limited to using just the information found in TRAP17 posts. Whenever you complete a task to overcome your difficulties, please be sure to document your progress.
Footnotes Pending an approval from admins and other mods, you may post your complete work in TRAP17. Your post must be in detailed description with all appropriate tags and sights. And as always the full copyright rules and TRAP17 TOS are enforced, so be sure to include bibliography of sites you derived your idea/codes. If the documentation is not approved by admins and other mods to be posted here, please include the full disclosure on your project website.
Conclusion Prize! A prize knowing that you may be the very first person to achieve such task. A self-satisfaction knowing that you have implemented what no one else has attempted and big congratulations from your TRAP17 peers. And, of course, chance to show off your coding abilities on the flick of a dime!
That does sound like a very good idea, but I have never seen anyone able to access a GMail account as a webpage before. Unfortunately I do not have time to complete this task but it would be interesting to see how people achieve this. Good luck to anyone attempting this!
Someone beat me to it! I was sooooo close... Pending on webmaster's consent, the programmer or I will post the link. It's 100% hosted by Gmail and only thing is not Gmail related is the domain name and a single instruction to call the rest of homepage files.

I am amazed how quickly Freddie (evilguru) managed to do this. I only told him on Thursday during an ICT class! With his permission I will try to post a copy of the source code on my Trap17 space (if it gets approved) along with full instructions.

I'm guessing it's the hosts I'm using because the file is on there. Can anyone recommend a site I can use to do this? Maybe even a tutorial so I know I'm not doing anything wrong?
is there a download manager that i can use to manage my downloads of GMAIL attachments ? i want to

i have been using gmail for quite a while, and have always hated hotmail. i hate it now more than
ever now that it is 'windows live mail'. however, there has always been something about
gmail that bugs me: how on earth do i get rid of all that spam? i mean, doesn't it ever bug you
when you have 3 new messages in your inbox, and then 56 bits of spam? and then you have to manually
head to the spam folder, and delete them all? i know gmail offer you a lot of space and i know the

I believe many must be aware of the mishap in Gmail last week, as few of the accounts got disabled
due to some reason. One of my friend was also a victim of this... But Good that Google retrieved
everything in a week and he is again among the happy customers of google... This is happening

I came across this topic which basically says that you can use Gmail to store your files. If
you're lucky, you get some free gmail invites to be sent to your friends when you open a gmail
account. Now if you just keep sending the invites to yourself, you'll end up with lots more
gmail accounts, isn't it? (I've tried it, you CAN create multiple gmail accounts by inviting

Well gmail seems to be that popular one that is authentic and easy to use. It seems to be the
fastest AJAX version of mail compared to AOL, Yahoo, and the ugly Windows Live Mail. But isn't
that just a bit too bizarre... there seems to be so many features... what is Gmail missing? Google
is such a large and rich company, what are they not going to be able to afford. For one thing
Windows Live Mail certainly is missing a lot... no POP3 no mail forwarding and really crappy
unattractive ads that take up half the screen. And it doesn't let you chat on your Windows Liv....

Hey everyone! While surfing the internet I found out an intersing report..which claims that
Gmail is using Sophos as the antivirus. This guy used a free service in which he sent out some
malwares and that service gave out the report of major antiviruses...like which one detected it and
which didnt. And then he compared it with Gmail....and the results show that Gmail found out
exactly the same malwares which sophos found...so that means there algorithm is same...so it has to

hi i have a gmail account well a couple of them and i know that someone has been getting on my
account and screwing with it however i dont know how im supposed to get on and change my password.
i've tried even getting them to send me information and what not when i forget my password but
all the same i can never get to a point where i can change it and it kinda is making me upset. my ex
gets on my account and yells at my friends telling them that i've changed and that i dont want

Guess what I just found out, if you have a message to long for gmail to read it will be clipped, cut
off, unretrevable in HTML format. Rather you have to read through the "Origional Message" which if
you recieve html newsletters is just a pain. ....

Since moving to Pakistan, I've been appalled at the poor internet service here. Especially since
the cable has gone down, things have only gone from bad to worse. Now with the satellite links
things are slowly moving again. I can finally access Yahoomail, hotpop mail, all my other mail
accounts. But for some reason gmail won't work. The google search engine works fine, but when i
try to access the mail section i get a page not found error. is this possibly only a local problem,
or is it something that others have found as well? i imagine not, or there would be a ....
