| | I would also recommend phpBB2, mainly becuase it is free and that there are loads of mods and themes available for it, but I'm sure you already know that. I was never one for Invision but it if you are willing to pay i'm sure it can be just as good, anyway seeing as they are both installable through the cPanel (I think) you could easily try them both out. |

i think invision board is much easyer... the admin cpanel is way better rhan phpBB. And you got much more skins and addons for IPB.

I would probably have to say phpbb 2. Everyone uses it. But if i got another vote it would go to vbulliten.

IPB is definitely better if you've the money for it, cause ipb is paid and phpbb is completely free, so if you're rich go to IPB, if not turn to PHPBB...

phpbb is definitely not safer than IPB, since they keeps upgrading their software fixing minor bugs and that webmaster hate phpbb due to the fact of its bug exploit and thus decided to wait for phpbb3 instead of starting it now...

IPB is my favourite, its has the most mods/hacks and the admin cp is much better than the phpbb one. I think the security is much better and it is much safer and it looks the best  .

(7) It is stated that IPB software above 2.0.1 is considered paid software and is illegal to have a copy
unless you purchase a liscense. IPS checks boards by adding ?ipscheck=1 at the end of the address
and if you see --, then it is a trial, #,# would mean its registered, and other messages would

What Are Your Views On Phpbb Or Ipb?
(2) I personally do not like euther of them except for the fact that they are both very secure. But i
think that to many people have them and that they are a little over used. My boards are pretty
common but tghey are not used nearly as much as Invision or PHPBB. And for all of you that aer
ecurious I am running the WhiteFyre source. I think that it looks a little better than the rest of
them and is a little easier to use than the rest of this.

Ok, I Have Downloaded Phpbb....
..... (14) ...but everytime I try to open up any of the phpBB folders, it says something about having to find
out where it came from (what site it came from I mean). I downloaded it from the phpBB site. Does
anyone know an easier way to tell me what to do next? Does anyone know where I can find an equally
nicer forum?....
