When did that start? Now we can make use of all the nice stuff in php5.

Where is my mind.. I thought I made the post gamma.xisto.com/info.php PHP and SQL were upgraded right after the Forum Upgrade (v2.2.1). During which time we suffered 2 days worth of loss on this Forum. This led to many accounts stalling during the forum upgrade duration. I'm sorry if I forgot to mention that. I thought I was doing that but I guess it was over the messenger  Sorry, sometimes too many open windows leads to mentioning it on the wrong window. PS you can check all server's PHP version by doing [server_name].xisto.com/info.php

this is another surprise from Trap17, thanx for keeping us updated with the latest version of softwares. I was looking for Trap17 to upgrade to PHP 5, and that has happened now. Now we can test the new scripts and exploit the knowledge with OOPS and enhanced security functions of PHP 5

Setting Up Ftp Accounts
(4) I would like to setup an FTP account for users of my website, but I'm not too sure how to do it.
I'm using Joomla for a website, and the members who register can submit Articles in certain
sections. I would like most of the images in these articles stored locally(also to get some
functions, they need certain extensions on the file name, which a free host cannot do). So I would
like there to be an FTP account that members can access and upload images too, but not delete any of

Second Anniversary With Trap
(6) Well, here it is the close of my second year with Trap 17. Seems like only last month I was
lured over here from Asta Host by JLHaslip. Actually it was on 5th January 2006 and 2 days later I
got my hosting approved. I have really enjoyed my time on the forum, all the support I have
received from so many members, greeting new members as they join and introduce themselves, helping
out whenever I can (which is seldom in the tech department, since I am not extremely computer or
graphics literate, but I do my best), giving opinions on subjects I may have a little mo....

Does Trap Use An Apache Server [resolved]
(3) Well I just installed a mod, and it said you must have an Apache Server or something. SO does trap
use an Apache Server and if not is there anyway we can since it says its free....
Hosting Accounts In Read-only Mode
(1) Your hosting account is currently in READ-ONLY mode while OpaQue has chance to maintain the server.
I'd like to ask for your patience during this time. Since the server is in read-only mode,
your hosting account may behave radically. But rest assure that OpaQue is working on this to resolve
the issue as soon as he can. During this time all application approval will be on halt but will

Can I Transfer Credits From Trap 17 To Asta Host?
Is it possible? (2) I was wondering if i could somehow transfer some of my credits from my Trap 17 account to my Asta
host account because i have gained many credits here at Trap 17 and i am having a hard time gaining
that many credits there.I just want to transfer maybe a months worth of credits (30 credits) And
thats it. I have been very busy lately and it's hard to post on both forums and post enough to
gain a good amoun of credits. If it's not even possible that's ok. Thanks anyways. P.S.

mysql version is old (2) I have came to my control cpanel,And I saw the mysql version,It is old,and with this version we
don't have to install into computer before use it,that is the way make it to hard to use to me

Disabled Inactive Accounts

removing a hosting account its just temporarily disabled till u get ur credits back up which is a
great thing because i havent been able to get online for ages which has been a real pain! And i
was worried about my hosting cause if it was just straight out removed then i would have lost all my

Space they use? (3) this is just a really quick question i was redaing some psots and it got me thinking, trap 17 has to
be hosted somewhere and if its in mans shed then thats fine, but really how much space does trap 17

a good Idea I have that I can't do @trap (10) ok, I was thinking, what if we had a signature system that linked to a page (like
'signature.php') on our trap17 website or something. This way, we can include javascript,

Mysql Sub-queries
does the hosted version support them? (2) I'm just wondering if the hosted version of MySQL 4.0.xx supports sub-queries? I'm building
an application that essentially relies on them. I could work around it, but that means re-working
too much. If you don't know what sub-queries are, please don't bother replying. I may
write up a good SQL tutorial someday.....
Exact Number Of Credits Needed...
To Keep Accounts Set As Active (11) I'm going on vacation today, and I counted up the number of days that I will be gone, which is
19 (I'm fairly sure) and I checked that with the number of credits I now have in store. I
realized that I would have about seven left after my trip and I realized that I wasn't exactly
sure how many credits were required to keep an account set as "active" because I have heard many
different numbers from both other users and moderators ranging from 5 to 10 and I was just wondering

How To Access My Ftp In Trap With A Browser
i do not manage to access as anonymous (5) Hi, I uploaded some data to my ftp server and i would to bring the possibility of downloading it to
some friends of me. But i am not able to access my ftp sever with a browser (e.g. Firefox). I tried:
ftp://anonymous@mytrapname.trap17.com/ But i always get: "421 Unable to set up secure anonymous
FTP". In my FTP Manager i have the anonymous user created so i do not understad why i can not. Any
idea?....

really are the best Free Host (8) Hallo, i have used many free hosts and this is by far teh best. I just got approved and signed in 5
min. ago and WOW WEE it is really really good! The cPanel looks absoulty amazing and everything
is tidy and orgainzed. u'd think it was an paid host but NO!. Thank you again admins and
staff of Trap 17, u guys really are teh best FREE host there is on the net. BTW: i have encountered
a couple fo scam hosts that tell u teh wrong ftp, user name,... so on... Don't use byehost.com.

Pointing A Domain Name To My Trap Site
(5) Hi, I bought two domain names. I pointed one to my trap17 account root. It works perfecttly. My
doubts come while pointing the other one. I would like to point the other one to a subfolder of my
trap17 domain. For example: www.domain2.com --> should point to -->
mizako.trap17.com/domain2/ Just now i just went to CPanel/Parke Domains/ and i add there the
domain2. Now i have boths domain names pointing to the my trap17 root. Can anyone tell me how to do

What is the actual version??? (3) What is the actual version of the phpBB that is installed when we use the Cpanel, it says 2.0.11,
but when I go to upgrade to 1.0.12 I find many nesscary functions have been completed.....
