Well I never used Paypal on my life, mainly because i never really need it and i don't want to break their Terms of Service when there's money related. I already heard lots of bad reviews about it, people who got ripped off or something like that, and, of course, the good reviews where it's the best company in the world bla bla.. Well everything has it's good and bad side, and as everyone already said companies need profit. And profit is income money. I think paypal is very nice when comparing with another internet money companies, or they wouldn't get so famous after all..

Paypal is always ripping people off one way or another, they make it sound so easy to join and get an account, and then once you join you have to verify your bank account which takes like 3-4 days then you have to wait like 2 weeks for everything to go through and then they tell you for security reasons we have suspended your account and then you have to do a bunch of *BLEEP* then to get your account reinstated and by that time they have sucked money out of your bank account and usurped your intelligence to the point your are completely dumbfound. I mean really, do they need to make a book Paypal for dummies?
My dad got a paypal accopunt and after going through the bank account scheme he said forget it, screw that, this is a bunch of bull-cr-a-p. So before you open up a paypal account thinking ok this is gonna be easy, wait a minute now, its not easy its not fun and its certainly not simple.

6 dollars.. no big deal... if they didnt take your money... then how will their site is up? they need money to keep their business grow...what if they unexpectedly bankrupts.. and takes all your 200 ? now thats a rip-off haha

how else would they make there money? Business is a business and of course its going to subtract some money that they pocket. How else would they stay open and run the way they do. I believe they take out $0.30 and then like 2% which isnt that much money but can be mattering how much your recieving. Paypal is big enough and so known now that they can charge people without losing members.

well of course after i went to this website www.aboutpaypal.com, it convince me never to get an account from them at all.

a bunch of thieves taking peoples money and not givign a reason why they do it, they should be shutdown since they are not reconized by the fcc at all, which tells you something about that since paypal is somewhat a bank.

I have personally experienced a problem with PayPal;

I sold an item on eBay. I was paid via PayPal. The payment turned out to be made from a hijaked account. PayPal's method of "fixing" the problem is to take the money from me to give back to the hijaked user.
Now, I have no problem with the hijaked user not losing out. However, I have a very big problem with taking the money from me to do it. PayPal allowed the account to be hijaked (likely) or the user allowed the account to be hijaked (less likely, still very possible). I committed no crime, I was not an active participation in any attempt to commit a crime. In fact, I am also the victim of a crime. What justification does PayPal have in taking the money from me? None. It simply allows them to look like the good-guy to the user whose account was hijaked. Problem is, they lose nothing themselves. It should be their liability, unless they prove I had prior knowledge. I should not lose my money.

augh i hate PayPal especially when they withdrew payment to namecheap without my permition and hwen i asked them to resend it they limited my account and m,ade a chargback against me so annoying. Anaway a lot of people on this forum should not even have a PayPal account let alone think abiout getting as there under 18. If you want a good paymnent processor use 2co that in my opinion is the best.

That really sucks. I was just thinking about getting one but maybe i won't know. If you get a some money they shouldn't make you pay them more money to recieve it. I have always heard good things about paypal so i am really suprised they would do something like that.

I've heard a lot both good and bad about paypal. I don't think that it's all that bad. The fees they charge is small, and I've had no problems in sending or receiving payments with them, and I don't have a credit card. All the money that is paid to me in mine, just stays online, and I use it to buy things online for myself.

I was even ripped off by a person on eBay once, where I paid the money, and never received the item, so I filed a complaint with paypal, I got half my money back, because that was all that was in the scammers account, but I'm happy I got anything back... It proved to me that paypal is trying to keep people happy.

Anyway... I don't find it at all hard to use, but I'm a little more computer savvy than my father... if I put him on it, he'd probably get confused easily... so I can understand the need for paypal for dummies. But for anyone that can do most things on a computer with no problem, I can't see too much problems paypal would cause in leaning about it, it's pretty straight forward, even if sometimes you have to use the help files - which is the same for anything to a degree.
