QUOTE Panasonic finally dropped the curtain on their 150-inch Lifescreen Plasma, and its a beauty. Panasonic did a good job of keeping the TV under wraps until now. Once the curtain dropped, the photographers flocked and the plasma was drowned in flashes. It's amazing how much more immersive the plasma is even compared to Panasonic's 103-inch TV. Movie theaters should start to worry. Check out the video and gallery of the 4096x2160 resolution display and prepare to drool like we did at first glance. |

Wow thats awsome! does anyone know how much that thing will cost? I'm guessing its going to be the most expensive TV on the market since its so big. Imagine playing all your favourte games and watching your movies on that... Installing the thing would be a bit of work too and you wouldnt be able to move it around lol. Maybe your walls would give in to its weight?

Yeah, I actually saw a report on that on TV a few hours ago. I was barely paying attention and caught the words "150" ... television" and thought "Holy %$@#!" Then I started paying attention to the TV, although by the time I'd looked over it was all shots of the Television alone, which makes it hard to get an appreciation for the actual size of when viewed on a 19" television. But when I saw the pictures in the link of the author's post Where a person is standing beside the Television... -That's- where a true appreciation for the size can come from.

A lot of those comments were pretty funny. Plasma doesn't really excite me a heck of a lot anymore. I've seen LCD HDTVs that are much cheaper and very close to if not on par with actually-comparable visual quality. DLP is starting to look pretty good too.

First Movie theater's will never be threaten by large screen like this, because of the fact these TV are the price of a brand new car and most people wouldn't risk that kind of cash on a TV like that. The second thing is that people still go out to see movies just because it is a fun activity, and or someone is bootlegging a movie . As for plasma tv's they are to high maintenance to keep running especially the screen, and on top of that price as well makes them expensive to buy as well. The next is that you would have to build a house around this TV just so it would fit properly against your wall, and I don't think those TV's could fit through a door either .

Crt Tv's Will Turn Into Lcd And Plasma Tv's?
How long before the traditional TV will become obsolete? (12) How long do you think the traditional CRT TV will be around before it becomes obsolete and it is
replaced by LCD and Plasma TV's? It seems the prices on CRT TV's are going way down and soon
they probably won't even be sold. The same thing happened with video gaming. Before, every
system used cartridges like the Nintendo 64, while the Dreamcast and Playstation stuck with disks,
and after that cartridge gaming became obsolete (except with Gameboys.) What do you guys think?....
Plasma Pong!
Pong + physics = ... (3) http://www.plasmapong.com/ Plasma Pong is basically a cross between Pong and a fluid dynamics
demo. It's similar to Pong in that a ball flies around the screen and you have to hit it with
your paddle onto your opponent's side, but you have two special abilities: You can shoot plasma
onto the field, which flows around and changes the path of the ball You can create a black-holeish
kind of field around your paddle which will suck in the ball As you progress through the game, your
plasma and the suction become stronger, but the AI's do, too. There's a....
Plasma Monitors Vs Lcd Monitors
the true history and risks behind this new technology (23) well, i sure that you recently heard about LCD and Plasma monitors, but .... do you know whats the
diference between them, well, its HUGE and you must be very careful if you are going to buy one of
these: QUOTE 1- Life span, the number of viewing hours a monitor provides before dimming to
half brightness, is one of the biggest advantages LCD has over plasma. Though the numbers vary among
the different brands, plasma displays generally offer around 20,000 hours, while LCD sets last for
up to 50,000 hours. Point for LCD QUOTE 2- One of plasma technology'....
What Is A Plasma Space Storm?
Almost like a cold front on earth. (10) I was just reading an article on Yahoo News called Way-Out Weather: Cold Fronts in Space It is
about how scientists are trying to find ways to predict and give warning about plasma storms. It
also explains what a plama storm is. A plasma storm is caused by solar winds. The sun sends off
plasma and wind and it flys toward the earth. When the solar winds hit the earth's upper
atmosphere it causes magnetic disturbances in the atmosphere which in turn causes disturbances in
radio waves and other terestrial communcations. I believe most people have heard of times....
Panasonic Toughbook
(0) Does anyone here use a newer Panasonic Toughbook? I'm just wondering how good they work, because
I'm thinking of buying a newer one off of ebay. For all of you who don't know what a
Toughbook is, it is the world's toughest laptop. The case is made out of a magnesium alloy, and
all of the components have shock-dampening measures. The keyboard and pointer are splash-proof,
dust-proof, and soda-proof. Some of the newer models have the capability to use cellular networks to
transfer data, surf the internet, etc... Anyway, I'm hoping someone has one, and c....

some wrong textures red and yellow. I added some crap objects and i believe it went very wrong, but
some areas went really good i think. I overchromed it in some parts but i will create something
better. I will make a better plasma cannon and post it here! A bit big i think.......
