Outlook 2003 Email Settings - and Web-based e-mail

I am not sure weather this goes under computer software or here... My synagogue runs a website, and I often get the question- "How do I check my mail on Microsoft Outlook 2003?"
I have no idea
Do I go to: Tools -> Account Settings -> Add New Account then choose a server type? HTTPS or IMAP? Or something else?
Also, some data on the synagogue mail server:
Incoming POP3 Server mail.domain.org Outgoing (SMTP) Server mail.domain.org Login The e-mail address you use (e.g. user@domain.com)
Thanks! Another thing- lets say I check my mail on the web and delete a message. When I return to my home computer with Outlook, where, if at all, will the message be?
The only free service I know that is HTTP enabled with Outlook is Hotmail. All others have stopped supporting external email program accessing the web-based mail server. (Trap17 being the other exception)
So, using HOTMAIL as an example, when you delete a message from Hotmail online you no longer can see that message when you connect your Outlook to Hotmail account. When you set your Outlook to "leave message in the server" option then you can delete it from your Outlook (or a.k.a. local storage) and still have the same message in Hotmail account.
when you delet your emails through web client when you return to your outlook you will notice that your mail is still in your inbox. to refresh your folder in outlook you have to run Sens/Receive to synchronize your outlook pc folders with you mail folders on net and then you will see that the deleted mail is no longer in you outlook folders. if the deleted message is moved to trashcan you can have it in your trash can folder in outlook.

Hotmail used to provide free POP3 service to your email client. However that was the past. Now only those who subscribed to Hotmail Premium gets the service. Hence it's no longer free. There are alternatives to this. Yahoo Mail and GMail are still providing POP3 services for free. You will need to enable the service in the control panel in your account there.

All your mails actually stored on the mail server. Whatever you've got on your email client, Microsoft Outlook or Outlook Express, are just copies of the mail delivered into your computer. If you've configurated correctly, you can delete those mails from the mail server after you've downloaded or retrieved them into your mail client to view them offline.
A web mail is a direct connection to the mail server. Hence whatever you've done on your web mail account is hence directly processed. Deleting a mail on the web mail interface will remove the mail from the server. Hence since the mail client is required to connect to the mail server to grab those mail into your computer, the deleted mail will not be downloaded as it already does not exist on the server. Unless you've downloaded your mails to your mail client, you may delete those mails on the mail server without affecting those already on your computer.
You Can Use outlook with Gmail config Go and make one account in outlook usernmae : your google username password : your google password Smtp : mail.gmail.com pop : mail.gmail.com then go to tools -> account - > mail tab - > your account - > advanced tab - > use 465 port for smtp and user 995 for pop then check on the ssl

I'm doing a mail merge from excel to word. I am able to get all the information needed from
excel to word without a problem. In excel, I have a formula that gives me a number of years with
decimal points, so I round it off to 2 decimal points, which is what I want. Now the problem is
when I link it back to word for the mail merge it gives me like 10 decimal points. I only want 2.
Can anybody help me out with this? /biggrin.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":D"

This all started yesterday when I opened up Outlook express. It sat at the Send/Receive window for
a time then told me the server wasn't responding, and I could wait or stop. Upon stopping I got
this error: QUOTE A time-out occurred while communicating with the server. Account:
'mail.yourlink.ca', Server: 'mail.yourlink.ca', Protocol: POP3, Port: 110,
Secure(SSL): No, Error Number: 0x800CCC19 Now I've just switched to this ISP, and figured
that maybe it was a problem on their side, and I'd let the problem wait a while. Later that da...

Well, this is only for hotmail people only. If you sign up for this, it gives your inbox quite a
lot of style, fun and SPACE. But, the sad thing is i waited for around 30 days before i finally get
the invitation, YOYOYO. It doesn't take place right after you received your invitation. You
must wait for around 5-6 working days for them to settle your problems first. Look at this image
and see how much space it gives my hotmail account : 2000MB So what you waiting
for? Get going now to : Windows Live Homepage for more great deals. ...

I'm looking for e-mail software that enables sending mail to multiple recipients, but totally
blind (i.e. so none of the recipients can see anyone else's address) I know there are quite a
few free-ware ones (e.g. listed at fivestar) - but I can't tell if they have this facility
without downloading them all! Anyone have any useful tips please? Thanks, KK....
I have two things I want to do with Outlook Express, but I can't find out how to, or even if
it's possible:- 1. I want to send the same e-mail blind to multiple recipients (so they can not
see each others e-mail address) As far as I can see, there is no 'Blind Copy'
facility...! /unsure.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0"

even see how to do this! Any help much appreciated! Please note that we have SOFTWARE

is my problem: When I installed Outlook and went to sent up my email account it simple would not

nothing. And needless to say, M$'s support site is quite usless in this case. Has anyone

Hi, I have a question, using Signatures in Outlook 2003 is great. Now what i want to try and find
out is, is there any way possible of have a bunch of test with a watermark image placed behind it,
without the images being pixelated or just go bad when it leaves the users machine. Example: Graeme

thats what everyone will have with thier details and i want to know if theres a way to place a
watermark image behind it without it also coming through as an attachment. Thanks...

QUOTE NEW YORK - In the year 2009, on the 25th of April, a man named Greg is supposed to get an
e-mail. The e-mail will remind Greg that he is his best friend and worst enemy, that he once dated a
woman named Michelle, and that he planned to major in computer science. "More importantly," the
e-mail says, "are you wearing women's clothing?" The e-mail was sent by none other than Greg
himself — through a Web site called FutureMe.org. The site is one of a handful that let people send
e-mails to themselves and others years in the future. They are technology's...

What I need, is a free What You See Is What You Get Webpage editor for my girlfriend. She won't
let me make the pages for her, she wants to do it herself, but she is not familiar with HTML or
stuff like that, so she will need some template based editor, easy, and not to have too much
options. I myself use Macromedia Dreamweaver, but it's not suitable for her, she needs to learn
it quickly, and to make pages quickly too, just simple pages, nothing complicated... If anyone
could suggest some good editor, I'll apreciate it. Please let me know. Thanx in advance...
I've heard it said, here and other places, that Opera is the fastest browser available. It is
fast - there's no denying that - but there are ways to make FireFox render pages every bit as
quickly, with just a few easy "tweaks." I had thought these adjustments were pretty well-known, but
it's beginning to seem as though they may not be. So I thought it was worthwhile to bring these
"hidden settings" more into the light. To get started, type "about:config" in your FireFox address
bar. The settings you're looking for are: 1.) network.http.pipelining 2.) ne...
Hi, I use Mozilla Mail. I download all the mail and save it in my local folder. I have a lot of
mails around 1000. I want to back up all my mails and burn them into a CD. All the mails go to a
local folder where they are saved into a msf file and a file without extension. For example
Sent.msf and Sent for my Sent Folder. I do not know i have to copy only all those files and that
would be enough. I mean i would have all my mail in 9 big files but Would I be able to browse them
again with Mozilla Mail or anther application. Another alternative is to copy mail by mail w...
