Thanks for the input. I was curious to know if Opera browser is any better than Mozilla firefox but my system is already crowded with three browsers already - Internet explorer, netscape navigator and firefox and I don't want to install Opera without having full proof that it will be better than those. With your inputs I will not try Opera until the next version. Thanks.

Ditch Netscape then. It's based on the same Gecko rendering engine as Firefox anyway.

to me Opera's interface is the best out there, very easy to handle and very friendly, everything is where you suppose it to be, i have Opera, Firefox and IE and excepting IE both O and F are very good. But firefox gives me some strange feeling when using it, i can't accustomed to it's interface hence it has better/faster engine as i've noticed and handles pages a bit better than Opera. Another thing i've read and don't know if it is still valid is yhat Opera doesn't support well certain features like dynamic pages -don't really know what that is reffering to and really don't care coz i like Opera very much. Another thing Firefox has is its extensions-very very good thing.
I probably should get accustomed to firefox but not yet...Ah, and in terms of web design i like best Opera as it renders my fages exactly as i want them to look, Firefox has strange fonts and ways to work with css...anyway this could be my fault as i'm not that good at web design yet

What a coincidence! I recently changed from IE to Opera because my brothers computer is VERY old and has little RAM. I actually upgraded the OS from Win 95 to 98 and the ram from 16mb to 48mb. The reason I originally changed the Browser was because this annoying website would popup even if I just opened up IE to start. I have IE set to a blank page so it starts up faster and it would pop up the same thing on any web site or time but only when I had IE running. So I switched to Opera because it requires little ram and has Tabs. Very good. I rate it a 8.5/10

that is because some web designers design their websites for IE rather than to the web standards. It makes sense for some people considering the market share that IE holds. unfortunately while windows is the most popular OS people will continue to use IE, who knows one day it might actually become a fast, stable, secure web browser. I'd say it would be the same day I'm skiing in hell.....

opera may be head and shoulders above ie (what isn't?) but imo theres no reason to switch off from firefox.

Many ears ago (before firefox was born) I was using Opera and saying that it's the best ever, then I changed it to Mozilla because started using linux, then to Firefox because it was faster, now I use Internet explorer 6 with latest service packs and adons like free download manager and love it more than opera or firefox (not saying more than mozilla, well maybe a bit, because i still enjoy mozzila on Linux mashines). However i respect Opera for their job, especialy for multiplatforming, especialy

mobile devices - it;s the best browser I could get for my Nokia 6630, However it costs money, thats quite bad so I wont put Opera on my website http://Cig.50webs.com, howevcer i hardly believe that i will find any equal mobile broser for free

Opera is one of the world's fastest browsers.. Eventhough its good, I prefer using FireFox. Its much Safer.. & Faster.. I tried both and I came to a conclusion that FireFox is the best one of all.. With the most security features..
